They will also add new achievements which will fuck people like me who already 100%'d the game because of Valve awful system that don't separate main game and DLC achievements. This one's on Valve of course.

Locking new accessibility features and haptic feedback behind a paid DLC is so creative and evil that I almost want to applaud them for it.

OK, so I had to check out this was real because I couldn't believe they would have the ego to advertise themselves charging for fucking settings. Thankfully, I did, as I had written out some angry disgusted stuff but decided to check before posting.

It seems all copies / versions do get the accessibility, controller, and photo mode updates, etc, but the DLC for $10 is the horde, permadeath, and speed run modes.

Edit - Thanks to TintoConCasera TintoConCasera , this is only for consoles (I assumed it would've been the same) and they are seemingly being a bunch of greedy motherfuckers for PC users. Absolutely disgusting.

The wording on the post indeed imply that everything is locked behind the DLC on PC but I'd be surprised if that's the case to be honest. It'd be ridiculous to lock accessibility, haptic feedback and better photomode behind a paywall.

So either miscommunication about the PC version or true bullshit on their part. We'll see.

Yeah I'm betting on miscommunication here, would be too greedy on their part to leave some basic features behind a paywall.

If they want to add options, that's fine. I just don't get what the value in this one is. In many cases isn't this just stuff that normally gets added in free updates..?
 
I came here to say that this is just Sony trying to treat PC audience like console and running into trouble, but I was wrong.

Permadeath and horde mode etc sure, but make the fucking accessibility suite free at least lol

This is false equivalency. Top high end cards only make for 3%-4% of all steam accounts. This is already enough data to know most PC players aren't enthusiasts paying $2k for a new gpu. Hell, even in this forum which is full of enthusiasts there are people waiting to buy new cards when price drops or waiting to see what AMD has to offer with their next-gen cards for a more affordable price range. Don't be disingenuous.

You've literally got a picture of sean murray two posts above yours, the head of a company that have released post content frequently for a game that came out years ago and made that game more successful than any game in decades has done, for free.
 
I've literally already played Days Gone Remastered by maxing out the settings on PC lol. All this version is doing is bringing the quality on console up to the PC one, and charging $10 for it, as well as accessibility options.

Sony sells their fans an $800 Pro console, and then charges for a "remaster".

And then those fans brag about how PS5 made more money than PS4.

So is the graphical update PS5 exclusive? because they are very deliberate in saying the DLC will be the new modes but im not seeing anything related to the visuals

You mean the same Sean Murray that lied his ass off and release a buggy piece of trash without many of the features he promised would be at launch, and had his game refunded by Sony for the first time in history? That Sean Murray?

And maybe you havent played Days Gone, but Bend released several new features for free for Days Gone. IIRC, they had several different modes added to the game post launch for free. However, now its been 3 years since the PC launch, and almost 6 years since the OG PS4 launch and you cant expect them to continue supporting it for free.

I just hate the entitlement. You get what you pay for. Nothing is free. If you do get something for free, appreciate and thank the person but dont ever expect it. Sony had to pay people to get this thing done. They are allowed to make their money back. No one is running a charity here.

PC already had the graphics upgrades, they are finally being back ported to consoles. Better lighting, AO, draw distance for foliage, etc.
