I own some shares in Sony. Though they are more than just gaming, I see their PlayStation assets having longevity. Solid Hardware brings in games, games bring in accessories and exclusive content.

I'm curious. For those of you who invest in single Developers and publishers, what attracts you to them? Is it a franschise game that you love, or something more deeper?

Is it solely base on money, hoping to win big on holiday sales? Or it they an actually passion for the success of a gaming company?

Nerd cred? It's kinda like street cred, except you get +2 to hit for all your combat rolls. I've never invested, but it seems like a sure bet that video games will be on an upward swing for a while, sooo, also profit?

I bought otgly (cdprojekt) stocks because of the dips. We know the company will survive and carry on.

Sony has seen me a 25% growth.

I do it for the money. Because why not profit of years of learning about games, the companies involved and the patterns observed over the years.

I had Nintendo for a while, and it brought me a good %30 over the period.

Have 2 in ESPO stocks which is doing well so far.

Looked into Sumo Group but not pulled the trigger yet though.
