Dear Gran Turismo 4....

I love you very much but please do not give me inferior cars when I am racing your (cheating) counterparts in driving missions.

Yours truly,

GAF

PS - Because your AI is full of cheating tricks, I rammed it off the road. Up yours 5 second penalties! Let's see you recover from that!

Bow to the king.

These comments don't fit with my experiences of GT4.

I've completed 100+ races, the A.I. does not appear to have rubberband qualities to me.

It's been a long time since I completed the driving missions, but I don't remember any cheating.

Is this a particular challenge you are struggling with? The Trail Mountain one I remember being paritcularly difficult.

Ridge Racer 6 adds, "I'm an arcadey racer featuring 200mph controllable 360 spins and cars shaped like Pac Man... Yet I still manage to be loads more fun than that PGR3 game."

Well, I'm up around mission 28 or 29, whichever the Laguna Seca 1 lap magic is, and I haven't noticed any cheating or turbo boosts on the part of the AI. For sure, there are missions where the lead cars are more powerful than yours but the whole point is to outdo them in cornering. If they're pulling away from you out of the corner, you're probably either braking for too long or not early enough.

Just a guess, was this thread prompted by the 3 lap mission with the muscle cars? :P

Someone as insane as myself. I just don't understand how anyone finds PGR more fun than RR6.

The thorn in my side with Gran Turismo games is NO FERRARIS.

What ever happened with the car licensing completely sucks. No Ferraris, no Lamborghinis, no Porsches (okay, they got around that with RUFs) but you can drive every version Nissan Maxipad Type R on the planet.
