Death Stranding special stage at TGS has now been expanded to a 90 minute show (from 60)

I really hope the second game is good. Like Days Gone, I've tried to finish Death Stranding like 4 times and just can't stick with the boring gameplay.

I'll watch a YouTube movie of the first game as we get closer the sequel's release.

Why even try it after the second time?

And now you are going to watch recaps of the first game before the sequel releases? But you didn't like the first one to begin with?

Highest tier of FOMO right here.

Kind of excited for this game. Although I don't know where I should actually see the trailers or not. Seems like a game I will enjoy more by going in blind.

It seems like the game just isn't for you. The core gameplay( in DS1) atleast, doesn't really change. It gets harder( weather, especially snow being a big part of difficulty) but at its core, it remains the same till the very end. I doubt DS2 will diverge a lot from DS1

I dropped the game after a hour. The gameplay is so boring you can feel Kojima's testicle vibrate in the mouths of the "you just don't understand the underlying greatness of hiking!" crowd.

Take a hike. Or better even, i'll do it.

Not gonna watch anything regarding DS2, I want to go in blind.

I'll watch the gameplay footage out of curiosity. I have the first and didn't like the game at all.

I'm going through my second playthrough of DS1 as we speak, really one of my favourite games in recent years. I know some take issue with the gameplay style and mechanics but I personally love them, especially the ziplines, catapults and so on.

I'm really curious to see how Kojima expands upon what was already a large feature set of gameplay mechanics in the first game, the only thing I can piece so far is that there will be much more aggressive combat.

I'm really looking forward to this.

Can't wait. Death Stranding was easily one of the best games of last gen. One of the very few AAA games in recent memory that took risks and tried something new.

Looking forward to the show. Dumped some 107 hours into DS1; making it easily my most played Kojima game by a very large margin. Can't wait to see

DS is okay but I wish he would just move on to something else. but maybe this one will have better pacing.

Its a niche and unique mechanic for traversal, and one that alot of people loved.

Its not about understanding it, but more that it doesnt cater to everyones taste.

I had such a great time playing around with taking different routes and trying to traverse things that dont look possible.

Is it going to be a cutscenes that repeats the same information but doesn't tell us anything new?
Yes and it'll go something like this:

Campbell: Careful Snake we don't want another Jacoby incident..

Snake: Right, the Jacoby incident of '74

Campbell: hmmm…

Snake: The Jacoby incident nearly sent the world into nuclear annihilation.

Campbell: So, try to avoid another Jacoby incident.

Snake: Got it, no Jacoby incident's.

Campbell: ……

I haven't played the first game despite getting it for free on epic. Is it any good? I know it gets a lot of praise but I feel it's more of a cult thing around Kojima rather than a legitimately well balanced videogame. Is it really more about lengthy package deliveries or is there a good bunch of 3rd person action and a nice thrilling/mystery story at the heart of it?

Fucking ready. People still joking about cutscene length huh. Are you not enjoying watching cutscenes in Kojima games? They are so well directed i could watch them all day. I sure hope so the second game will have just as many and long cutscenes as the first one
