It's great in Astrobot, and actually feels like a substantial addition to the game experience. I honestly don't remember it much in Demon's Souls. Those are the only PS5 games I've played.Interesting. Does anybody actually like the haptic feedback in their games? I thought it was popular. This thread has me thinking differently.

I love it. Returnal felt exceptionnel.Interesting. Does anybody actually like the haptic feedback in their games? I thought it was popular. This thread has me thinking differently.

Haptics are fantastic, feel miles better than on and off rumble. Adaptive triggers is a hit or miss. If well implemented can add to the imersion, if bad implemented can get in the way of the gameplay and is better to turn it off.Interesting. You need the $400 system to use that $70 controller....It's a bit disappointing that the "Next gen" trailer for the version coming to this new $400 console focuses almost entirely on features of the $70 controller.
lol. Shouldn't have let two trolls who jumped to the thread quick make you think differently. PS5 controller is amazing and adds a lot to games.Interesting. Does anybody actually like the haptic feedback in their games? I thought it was popular. This thread has me thinking differently.
Game has style in spades, not feeling it for £70 on release though will wait for a sale
Absolutely love your avatar btw. God bless Sean Lock. Incredibly funny guy that went far too soon.
Me watching this trailer: that looks cool.
Me playing the game: where do I turn off this sh*t?
Pretty sure it's 60, not 70.
Can't imagine Returnal without it but it's poorly implemented on other games. Hit or miss.Interesting. Does anybody actually like the haptic feedback in their games? I thought it was popular. This thread has me thinking differently.
I've used plenty of guns in my life and do trapshooting competitions. Does the controller simulate a trigger exactly? No. But it's better than no resistance at all. It's also optional, so there's no downside to including it in the game. These threads always make me wonder how many of you regularly use real guns. I just can't fathom how it feels immersive. Trailer was cool though.
No issues with those who like it. I just don't understand how it's immersive. I've asked a few times before and never really got much of an answer. Depends on how it's implemented - ratchet, Astrobot and returnal did it well - others nahInteresting. Does anybody actually like the haptic feedback in their games? I thought it was popular. This thread has me thinking differently.
There's more games that I've played with it that use it well than those that use it poorly.Depends on how it's implemented - ratchet, Astrobot and returnal did it well - others nah
Aside from 60 frames It's the best thing that's happened for consoles this gen in my and many other's opinion.Interesting. Does anybody actually like the haptic feedback in their games? I thought it was popular. This thread has me thinking differently.
I think Ghost of Tsushima has the best implementation by far. You can feel the difference of wood planks and solid earth when riding on the horse.Depends on how it's implemented - ratchet, Astrobot and returnal did it well - others nah

I can explain that. On Ghost of Tsushima you can feel the tension subtly as you pull the bow back before shooting an arrow. It's immersive enough that when you go back to regular controllers it's a night and day difference. You really can't go back.No issues with those who like it. Oh yeez, another trailer about the revolutionary dual sense
weapon jamming and vibration for every step? can't wait to disable those.
You philistines can shut it off. In fact, I'll take your haptics for myself and you can wallow in your lack of immersion.Me watching this trailer: that looks cool.

I've played both Dishonored games on PS4 with speaker off and could hear the hearts.Ahhhhh yes. Controller speaker. My most hated thing about dualshock 4 and dualsense.
Iirc for Dishonored remastered or whatever you couldn't turn the speaker off, or you wouldn't hear the heart
Oh yeah a lump of plastic going brrrt brrrt is just so immersive.

Control haptics were awesome. And the feel to the characters steps really made it feel connected. Loved it.I'm one of the bellends who thought Control's implementation was great, I didnt really notice the footsteps much and I loved how the guns felt to fire. When I had my fully completed build for Spin where I could fire it for like 30 seconds straight without stopping it felt so silly and great - like playing Crisis Zone or Teraburst in an arcade. Pierce felt nice too and I liked that a lot, was even more intense when I had the unique mod that made it fire instantly. Shatter with the 0-spread mod was fun too.
It's a solo game. Do you mean offline so Juliana is only AI and not an invader..?is this a fun game if only planning on playing solo?
Cool I havnt really kept tabs on it but I loved the dishonored games. It's a solo game. Do you mean offline so Juliana is only AI and not an invader..?
The previews were offline and people like the kinda funny xoxo crew really enjoyed it
ooohhh no, I didnt know he died, god dammit. I loved him as a panelist in all those channel 4 videos, god dammit, thats how I find out about his death?! In a fucking deathloop thread?!?Absolutely love your avatar btw. God bless Sean Lock. Incredibly funny guy that went far too soon.
