or do I have to try to track down pick up all the books separate if I want the series?

No trades that I know of.

He does appear in the Judas Contract trade of Teen Titans, as well as in the first volume of New Teen Titans archive edition.

No, Corporate Comics only tends to reprint stuff that's popular.

Take your tasteless comic nerd ass to Mile High Comics website. They've got pretty decent pricing on "lower grade" comics, which for reading sake are perfectly fine. Not to mention the few "low grade" books I ordered from them were in really good condition, unless you're super anal and like to pretend your funnybooks are stocks and bonds and will some day subsidize your child's Harvard Education. :lol

I kind of want to go back and get the cool ass Swamp Thing comics I read as a kid, but I can't be bothered with the inferior pamphlet format. TRADES DC! TRADES!

Back before they turned Swamp Thing into a fucking hippy. >:|

Thanks elitist b*tch. ;)

No problemo.

I don't know about your local shop, but back issues around here aren't very popular anymore. Which is both bad and good. Bad because it's hard to find what you're looking for, good because you get some stores that sell them off at a flat rate of $1!

The local store I go to has 3 other stores so they've got a decent back issue collection... they just had a kickass like 60-70% off sale that I missed so I may have to wait... mile high is having a similar sale right now and it looks like I could score the entire series for a little over $50... so we'll see...

?!

A funnybook chain store?!

Wow, that's big business there. :p

Closest we've got here is two very well run shops that have a good rapport, so if one doesn't have something; they obtain it from the other shop.

Unfortunately there's still some waiting involved. =_=

Yup surprisingingly there are store chains that aren't owned by Geppi's(Diamond comics)... yet. ;) I was pretty surprised myself when I first signed up to get my subs there, didn't realize they had a chain... wonder how they've managed to say under Geppi's radar... think I'll ask him when I go in next week... if I remember.

A few years back, some pioneering twat tried opening a funnybook chain in malls called Moondogs. Talk about oil and water.

It might have done better today, assuming they could sustain sales from the Hollywood strip mining of comicsdom, and they didn't have the aversion to stocking manga most comic shops do. :p

Sucks that Waldenbooks did away with their Preferred Reader card. I enjoyed buying my manga there and saving 10% every time. :/

It's funny you mention malls... my store is in a mall ;)

The card went away? I haven't used mine in eons, but I didn't know they actually dropped it completely...

When I tried to renew mine, the clerk said they are doing away with the club thing in the attempt to have more general in store sales and promotions.

Hopefully this means more "Buy X, Get Y Free" deals. I would use those in combination with my card for big time savings on the comics, errr manga. Whatever.

My luck it will be more Oprah book club sales. =_=
