Graphics look very simplistic. I know Ds can do better, but it looks very interesting. What is it thought? First person RPG, like the old PC games I always hated, or some kind of myst type adventure? what?

it's like king's field. with all the first gen 3d that implies. and extra furries. i'm still kind of interested.

King's Field may not have been very impressive technically, but I found it oddly addictive. If this captures the same spirit of exploration, I'll have to pick it up.

Since King's Field PSP has proved to be a no-show, this is all I can look forward to for eastern first-person action-RPGs. I hope this turns out well. This is based on a mobile phone game - I wonder if any of our Japan residents have played it?

I don't know guys, everytime this game pops back up, I get excited.

Go King's Field!

We better get this, gotta make up for not having Shadow Tower: Abyss :(

Is this some how related to King's Field? Loved KF2 on PSOne. A lot of people say the KF games suck. They are simplistic, but for some reason I enjoy playing them. =)

Would it be possible to port the first 2 elder scrolls to DS?

I heard the source code for the Daggerfall got lost/destroyed. :lol Don't know if that's true though. :D

Looks like "drawable" spells. Hope they pull that off better than Arx Fatalis. I could really do with some Ultima Underworld/King's Field/Elder Scrolls -type loving on my DS.

Thanks Jarrod. Wanted to demonstrate that earlier. Too tired and sick to google up pics. This looks way better than either of the two PSOne KF games released in the US, IMHO. Graphically, at least. I love KF, and dunno if DL will be able to compare. Or try even. Still have no clue how it plays.

I think a better soundtrack is pretty much guaranteed, however. :)

Well, it is a DS game, so don't get your hopes up. :P

It looks better than King's Field 1, 2, and 3, though. No doubt about that. They suffered from some of the worst texture distortion I had seen on PSX.

King's Field IV is actually pretty decent looking, though.

Is KF4 the PS2 game? Because aside from some pretty bad seaming, that game was very appealing, visually, I thought.

Yeah, that's the one. Not technically impressive in the least, but the design of the world and such was actually pretty nice. Quite a change for the series.

It also had a very bizarre look to it. It runs at 60 fps, but the character motion is sampled at 30 fps. So, moving your viewpoint alone reveals the 60 fps, as does the movement of everything else. However, your actual character movement is sampled lower...but only seems to affect objects near your viewpoint. I never could figure out why they designed it that way.

I don't get the hate on the graphics. I think it looks great and it is very impressive for the DS.

I waste way to much time defending Ds graphics when people slag games like Mario Kart, or Metroid, or even mario 64.

but this is one game that deserves no defence. It looks like shit. Yes, even "for the DS".

King's Field games ruled to me. I know there were things wrong with them but I still loved them for some reason. I could just relax, listen to the music, and immerse myself in those games like no other.
