I didn't know the game was freeware nice. I never really cared much for supporting Konami anyway.

Also this is the dumbest marketing I've ever seen. This game releases today on Steam/PS5/XBS, and for some odd reason you are giving it away for free on Epic for 1 week. Who reached out to who there? Who did/will this benefit? That's a big fuck you to anyone on any other platform. I hope no one buys it.

Nice 1, just added, was going to wait for it to come down in price as looked good for Rog Ally but this is a good bonus. Thanks for letting us know.

I have a shit ton of good games for free on EGS (free games + amazon Prime). I don't know why I should hate Epic and their store.

I thought competition is good?

Looks cool, I will add it of course. Epic sucks, but I like to get my free game on from them. That is all the good they are to me.

Uncle Tim has talked about how he decided to do game giveaways instead of spending money on marketing and honestly it's kinda genius.

Giving away games makes me open their app every few days and Ive played a shitload of the games. If I was seeing EGS ads all over twitter or whatever it would never make me engage with their app.

I have 0 problem with EGS so long as they're not moneyhatting.

Smart guy, because 0% I engage with that place otherwise. Yet here we are!

Those who refuse to nourish themselves by suckling upon the teet of based Sweeney deserve such misery. May your suffering last but a fortnight. Thereupon may your wretchedness wane and may you nestle yourself betwixt Tim's ample and ever-open bosom.

Got it. I can't imagine actually hating the Epic Store at this point. I will make it a point to buy on Steam last out of all options. At least you're getting rewards points on MS store, free games on Epic, and part of the money goes back to studios that actually make games on both.

I just claimed $80 of free games. The underdog has to try harder.

Steam is still the only one with the best available family sharing system outside of GOG and no DRM at all.

Never seen someone so mad about getting a free game

Seems fun from what little I played of it. Mowing someone down and draging their lifeless 'corpse' around hanging off your bumper just so you can deliver some rotten melons is funny.

I played it a bit last night. It's fun but rough around the edges for sure. It kinda reminds me of GTA2 with the driving perspective. Physics are good and dumb. Writing is silly. Not something I would buy for full price but it is neat and seems like a lot of work went into the physics.

My question is, how the fuck did they get Konami to publish this?

No idea but Konami is on a major redemption arc and I am enjoying the game a lot.

Given the games are free for the user then yeah I dont get the hate either.

The only thing that has been a bummer for me was that the zombie games I cannot remember the name of was the only game I have purchased on Epic Games, and it eventually became free some time later.

Might sound stupid, but I dont want to pay for products on EGS in case that they become free at some point.

I have a huge backlog so I can wait I am in no hurry.

And most games they moneyhat will be free at some point. Only game I bought there was AW2 I think, and they funded it so whatever it's hard to be mad at that.

The combination of real and imagined spyware and DRM is why I just treat my Windows gaming PC like a game console and hardly ever do anything else with it. It insulates me from giving a crap about all this completely. It's the easiest and most cost-effective way to manage the problem. Its only role is playing games, so I don't care how many launchers are on the taskbar or which spyware finds out what other games I'm playing. Yawn.
