Some people, such as myself, like that high ppi. Sharp for example is coming out with a 27 inch 8k monitor which I would be more willing to get if I ever had the cash to blow on it.

The Dell S2718D (also coming out today) looks pretty interesting to me. My Korean 1440p display has become very unreliable, but the size and resolution is pretty much the sweet spot for me atm.

They already did and it's pointless. I can't even see the pixels on my 1080p OnePlus 3. I'd rather not waste battery on something completely useless most of the time.

It's a great DPI/size balance for people who work with print and stuff. Editing 4K video with lots of screen estate to spare is great too.

Not everything is for content consumption, guys. Especially the Ultrasharp line which is mostly professional oriented with only a few models that are consumer-friendly.
