I dunno. I'm starting to have deep reservations about Dean now, considering some of his recent stupid remarks and his unbelievably idiotic performance on Meet the Press not too long ago when he argued Social Security using the GOP's worst case scenario numbers(I mean, what the fucking hell?). What use is a spine with no brain?

Hopefully Dems will be ok in spite of things like that.

As a party, the democrats need to grow some balls.

By 'grow some balls', most people seem to mean 'ditch some morals', and sadly they're generally right.

John Kerry gave a stirring speech on the Senate floor today about Karl Rove's comments.

"The president should demand his apology, well frankly he should be fired."

"He needs to apologize to every soldier in Iraq who's not a registered republican yet is on the frontline in battle and sacrificing their lives for this country."

I'd rather have the Dems just say Rove's comments are disgusting, showing the petty, divisive nature of the Republican party, and that a true leader wouldn't seek advice from such a slimeball. Asking for an apology just seems whiny since you know Rove won't give one.

The Dems won't "get it" until they stop complaining about Bush and the GOP and start thinking up ideas of their own. Right now, they don't offer any real alternatives to the Republicans which is a shame.

I don't know about that, isn't that exactly what the Dems pre Dean were doing? It would have made no impact. And frankly I don't see the problem with Democrats getting angry that Rove said what he did. It was slander pure and simple.

:lol

And anything they do offer is immediately disregarded. What's with the "start thinking of ideas!!!!" mantra that is now spinning around? Dems aren't the majority, they're the severe minority. Nothing they offer will pass(On the big issues), especially with Bush in office.

And you want a plan? How about Social Security without the privatized accounts? How about rolling back the tax cuts just a litttttttle bit to fix SS. Or raising the cap on the $90,000 a year payroll limit. These have been offfered by Dems, and they've been shot down.
