I always wondered who is each developer rival? I mean, does every developer have a rival. I always imagined it to go like this.

Capcom vs Konami
SEGA vs EA or Nintendo
Square vs Enix (before they were one)

What are the other rivals in the industry?

I said CAPCOM vs KONAMI because they are both such large Japanese publishers. But I guess that yea, CAPCOM vs NAMCO is more close.

capcom vs. snk, and sega vs. namco. close competition in the same genres, a rich exchange of ideas, and as i understand it lots of headhunting. of course these were arcade rivalries, and arcades are dead now.
