Predicts the worst decade for Sony starting 2022
As a big Switch fan, I am saying not yet. I didn't see much software that sold me on it. If you only play Nintendo platforms there are plenty of old ports. I will wait a year or so for the library to build up.. I was not blown away and found the presentation as a whole very lackluster. I get it they are trying to appeal to the masses but they spent way too much time on casual bullshit.

The verge says the price is $449.99

* Just changed my vote to no. I am reading $80 digital copies of games and $90 physical. I will 100% pass on the Switch 2. Oh and Nintendo does not lower prices on their games so 5 years later those prices will still hold.

Can we get a poll option that's a less enthusiastic yes?

Kinda disappointed from the direct. I needed more info and announcements. Currently I'm undecided and can see myself waiting.

I mean, no, they didn't tell me how much I need to pay for it.

Honestly the DK game sold me, a lot of the games are re-releases but that's what I expected, Sony did it and Nintendo did it with the original Switch.

But gives me reason to buy the Switch 2 version of up coming games so.

Clearly not, although Mario Kart looks good et i'm down for a 3D Donkey Kong instead of a Mario. Still, nothing that really excites me.

I was sold on the Switch 2 before the showcase but i wish they didn't have so many remasters. Sony is no longer the king of remasters/releases as Nintendo now have taken the crown lol.

HELL TO THA FUCK YEEEEA!

Dude, I can't believe the last two game reveals!!!!

FUCKING KIRBY AIR RIDERS!!!!!!!!!!!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME MY GUY!?!?!?!?

AND DONKEY KONG BONANZA!? Not even in my wildest dreams would I have anticipated a game like that; looks extremely interesting!!!

Not particularly, but I'm not really the target audience for this. I don't have much interest in most of Nintendo's first party titles, so I'm sticking around mainly to see if there's going to be anything from my favourite developers: Capcom, Square Enix, Team Ninja etc. The Gamecube games have me really interested though, especially if I can finally get to play Eternal Darkness.

Yes, but only because of their first party output - as usual.

Tbh a lot of games in that presentation looked a lot more rough visually than I was expecting.

Edit:
Voted before I saw the game prices. Absolutely ridiculous. I'll still get it.. But damn, $80 for Mario Kart World?

That better be a 9.7/10 type game for that price.

The only game for me that looked good was Mario Kart World but i wouldnt by a Switch 2 just for that game.

I'll wait for a new Zelda.

Already was, but today confimed it.

I'm also curious how much the upgrade patches is going to cost to current switch games.

Loved it. Metroid Prime 4. Donkey Kong open world. 60fps Tears of the Kingdom. Mouse control feature. Fucking Duskbloods by Miyazaki! Where do I pre-order, I need Switch 2 ASAP.

Eventually, but not day one. I mean Mario Kart World makes me happy, but I need to see more of first parties. Donkey looks dope, but didn't blow me away.

Kirby flying game could be fun, but yeah. I expected more of visual upgrades for the two Zelda games.

I didn't need selling, but it was a little underwhelming.

The games line-up was very good, but it's the hardware that I feel let down on.

Hardware dictates how the console, and therefore Nintendo games, will be played for the next 5-8 years. It needed more 'gimmicks'.

Mario Kart looks great so I'm in. GameCube VC lineup is amazing. The presentation kind of reminded me of the Wii U with all the old ports.

Nah, not only did they not sell me on it, they threw me off the fucking cliff. What the hell was that shitshow of PS3 looking multiplats and barely any interesting exclusives we've come to expect from Nintendo.

I'm gonna get it cause its Nintendo but the upgrade packs turned me off on it for now. Its like the WiiU all over again with VC upgrade pricing.

No. It's just not different enough from the Switch 1, at launch.

They said nothing about battery life and fast charging, game pricing, compression technology to make the 256GB make more sense, etc. It feels half-baked.

Am I getting one at some point? Yes. Did they sell me on buying one this launch or even this year? Not really.

EDIT: if it's $399 ( I suspect it isn't), maybe this year only because I sold my OLED Switch last summer.

I only caught the Donkey Kong game, and it looked kinda bad, blurry shimmering cack during gameplay, so no.
New Mario Kart though? Maybe. Depends on the UK price.

If I want to play crossgen games I stick to my Ps5 and Xbox thanks.

Also replaying retrogames is something I've been doing for ages so their scamm service tells nothing to me.

No. I still see jaggies in their games. Until they don't start using DLSS technology or some sort of temporal reconstruction I wont support them
