Okay. Exactly one month-and-a-half in and still going strong. Here's how I'm doing:

February 1st -- 122kg (268lbs)
March 15th -- 114.0kg (251.3lbs)

That's a whopping 8kgs/ 17lbs down, folks!

I levelled off between the 115kg-114kg mark for about two weeks, but I'm starting to lose again.

This weekend we had a St. Patty's Day party, and I managed to do pretty well, considering I drank some alcohol and ate quite a bit of good food.

My wedding ring is loose. What the hell! I'm going to have to get a chain or tape it or something. My clothes are fitting better. Feeling pretty energetic.

Hey, only forty or fifty more pounds to go, kids!

Where are the other folks doing the diet thing? Still going?

What're you doing for your diet?

Here ya go.

I drink 3-4 liters of water a day. Nothing else.
Breakfast consists of yogurt or a bowl of bran flakes.
At about 10:30 I have a 141kcal granola bar.
At lunch, I have a bananna and a salad I make myself. (Three types of lettuce, cucumber, celery, moyashi, bean sprouts, red, yellow, and green bell peppers, red onion, cheese, pine nuts, topped off with lemon pepper ginger chicken)
Another granola snack at about 3:30 or 4:00.
Smaller portions at dinner.

I'm still on the diet. I've really hit a plateau at around 99kg, though (11kg lighter than when I started, but a good 10kg more than the upper bound of my 'normal' weight range.

Good going man. How tall are you?

I went from 267 to 232 between last May and September. I'm back at around 238 now but am working on dropping another 20-30 pounds this year. Woot.

I'm 186cm (6'1") with a pretty stocky frame. I hide my weight well, but it's there.

I started a few weeks after you.. one of your initial threads was what inspired me. I'm 6'1 and was about 215 when I started mid February or so. Down to 204 now, ideally I'd like to get down in the 180s. I haven't been exercising as much as I would like, but I've been eating smaller portions and drinking a lot less soda. I did something similar over a year ago and dropped from high 230s to 210, so I'd really like to hit my goal of 180 by year's end.

Great job! A few years ago I joined weight watchers (was about the only guy in the room) and I went from 250 lbs to 185lbs in about 10 1/2 months. I stopped going and put some weight back on so I'm currently at 205 but I'm back to doing what I did at WW years ago, so the weight is slowing starting to come down again. I'm shooting for 190 this time and will try to maintain that weight long term.

The water really helps not just for weight-loss but also with skin complexion and being regular with the digestion. All in all it's a good practice to drink lots of water each day. That was the biggest change for me (in addition to smaller portions at each meal)

Keep up the good work and let us know your progress.

Congrats on the weight loss guys. i wish i could gain weight as fast are you guys are dropping it. :/

Heh, I have absolutely NO PROBLEM gaining weight! I shoudl have added to my story that right after I hit my goal weight at WW and was a lean 185, I went to Cancun with a buddy of mine at this all inclusive resort. In one week I came back and weighed myself and I was 192. I was like WTF??

Congrats, kumanoki. Keep up the good work! I've also lost exactly 17 pounds, after 7 weeks of dieting. I'm 6'0", started at 185lbs and am down to 168. It sounds light, but I'm not particularly muscular; I spent the previous 4 months lifting weights just to go from being a complete weakling to what I'd consider a respectable level of strength. I can't wait to get to my target weight (probably by the end of this month) so I can go back to weight training!

Ive been off soda for a week now I think. I dont notice the headaches or cravings people were talking about. If the headaches were related to drops in blood sugar that probably wouldnt affect me since my blood sugar is always on the extreme low end of acceptable levels.

I also started taking b-complex, that might be helping. I do have more energy since taking the suppliment. One of these days ill start EXERCISING
