Digiphile - a new bundle platform from a group of Humble Bundle veterans - launches today

Gentlemen, we can rebuild it. We have the capability to make the world's first enhanced store. Steam will be that store. Better than it was before.

"Everything starts with curation. Each Digiphile collection is a limited-time event, made in collaboration with respected voices in each genre to create meaningful showcases that celebrate what's worth playing right now," said Hill.

"We've also built systems that fix long-standing issues in the bundle space, most notably The Digiphile Exchange, which ensures games reach real players instead of sitting unused. Players can trade in keys for games they already own and receive credit toward other titles featured in our collections. This keeps engagement high and key waste low, a necessity for publishers looking to secure more keys for future promotions."

So... game bundles, but you can trade your duplicate keys for other games from other bundles I guess. Seems like a neat idea depending on how it's done.

Digiphile's inaugural game collection, Return of the Immersive Sim, has been launched today in support of the Arbor Day Foundation. It features titles such as System Shock 2: 25th Anniversary Remaster, Perepiteia, Shadows of Doubt, and CTRL ALT EGO.

Curious to see pricing on this (it's not live yet), and also curious to see how this exchange thing works.

see that guy, stay away from him he's a digiphile 😂

GTFO with that name 😂😂😂😂

Edit: this is actually really cool, I just can't cope with the name

edit: Limited Time Events (FOMO) & given the social media presence you very well know what game bundle and to which charity your money will go.

Terrible name but I like the key exchange idea. Humble Bundle went to shit a long time ago so fingers crossed this is like the original Humble days

Announcing a bundle platform without announcing any bundle with it doesn't inspire me much confidence.

Hah, yeah, I mean it sounds neat, but why go public with nothing? It would make more sense to release with an impressive opening bundle. Eh, I'll sign up for their email just to keep an eye on it.

They've announced their first bundle but it's not live yet

Man I wish I could trade unused keys from Choice for other games, even at like a 5-1 rate or something. I'll keep an eye on this.

Their FAQs are up (an a sites.google.com domain lol)

The initial bundle was briefly live on the site, but it's been taken down again for unknown reasons. Sounds like a rough launch.

How Credits Work

  • You'll earn 10 credits per dollar tier the game was originally part of. Example:
    • A game in the $12 tier = 120 credits
  • To claim a game from the Exchange, it costs 3x the trade-in value.
    • Example: That $12-tier game costs 360 credits to claim
