Disc Resurfacing

Has anyone had any experience with disc resurfacing for a CD or DVD? I recently purchased a used copy of Wizardry (PS2) and the disc has some light scuff marks. There doesn't appear to be any deep scratches, but the music skips in certain parts of the game and I don't have any issues on any other games I own. Most of the services I have found online only charge $3 to $5 per disc.

Any good/bad experiences? Any suggestions for the best disc resurfacing shop? Not looking to go the cheap or questionable route with something like the Game Doctor.

I just use that game/dvd fix stuff you see in line at the cash register. Works pretty good. My mom bought this horridly scarred copy of beautiful mind from some rental place, and it fixed it right up.

Toothpaste is supposed to work too, but if you get the kind with crystals it can scratch things worse.

I don't get all the hate on the disc doctor. I picked one up a while back and it's been awesome for the movies and games that I had that were unplayable.
