Divinity OS2 gets Switch 2, PS5, and Series X/S updates. Free upgrade for existing owners.

Cool, I actually have it, played a little it was a bit too overwhelming but maybe with increase resolution I can manage. Will check it out. Thanks for the heads up!!

Still not seeing it on the Switch 2 store...

I KNEW IT. I was talking about this in another thread a few months ago and we didn't think it would happen but here it is.

Woohoo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

One of the best games ever fucking made I might add.

Maybe the greatest.

If you play with a set of your own rules and artificially gimp yourself you can make the game so fucking hard and interesting and good, lol. That said, normal meta play is also perfect so it's just a great game.

Downloading the Switch 2 upgrade now. I had the game for years, ever since it shadowdropped during the September 2019 Direct, if I remember correctly. Started on my Switch OLED in January, got about 25+ hours in, but got sidetracked by graduate school work. Perfect timing for Winter Break.

Nice, I added DOS2 to my wishlist when the rumors of a next gen version made the rounds. Didn't anticipate a shadow drop.

Edit: It's currently on deep sale on PSN, downloading it now!

Curious to see how Switch 2 performs. If it's good (as in at least 1080p 60fps handheld) I'm buying it. Been having it on my wishlist forever but never pulled the trigger because of severe downgrade.

Currently playing the game, when is it out???

Edit:
Already out, started the download.
Also shows as Pro Enhanced, let's see

Not sure why anyone would do performance mode?

On ps5 pro if I disable performance mode it defaults to native 4k 60fps. Looks gorgeous and amazing default HDR.

Also it cannot be stated enough how much better the onboarding and pacing is of this compared to BG3 to me.

There is something special about the beginning of DoS2 that no other game has truly captured. The game feels daunting, full of consequences, and also somehow very welcoming and enjoyable all at the same time. It really sucks you in. That whole first act is just an experience that is hard to believe.

I already did 300 hours and like 7 playthroughs of this back in the day, I cant do more but I can highly recommend it.

Not quite on scope or scale or quality as BG3 but it's still an incredible RPG that shits all over most.

Switch too?

Does that mean the new Divinity might also possibly release on Switch ?
That is a wild assumption lol

Maybe, maybe not. This is for D OS2 remaster, a game that came out for Switch in 2018, remastered for Switch 2.

Did Baldur's Gate 3 come to Switch 1? If not, why?

Soooo same reason would apply here.

Oh, I didn't know this had a Switch 1 version.

I should replay D:OS 2. I find fantasy games overwhelming with all the proper nouns, lore, and characters. I replayed BG3 a couple weeks ago and could follow the story better on a second go-around. If anyone has tips on how to get fantasy details to "stick" better, I'm all ears.

so performance mode is totally unnecessary on pro i guess? quality seems 4k60 already.
is quality mode 30fps on base ps5? is that why there is even an option?

Not to mention that it's also only $15 compared to $70 for BG3 on the PS5.
