Do you have collectibles and/or other nerdy collections?

Over the years I've acquired random collectibles, but never anything focused like how some people have large Funko Pop collections (or what have you). I have some limited edition sculptures and music boxes, and sword replicas. Anyone else do this? Here's the corner of my home office where I keep most of them:

I have a sculpture of Winterfell from A Song of Ice and Fire, there was only 1,500 made. An annotated version of the book The Hobbit signed by Tolkien's son. A couple limited edition music box things for Studio Ghibli movies. A little R2-D2 that will react to Star Wars movies with you if you watch them with it. And various video game memorabilia.

And here's my Sting

I'm a sucker for physical media. Used to have a gigantic retro game collection (like 800+), tons of blu rays, records, etc

Now I have a solid library of books, lots of Buffy comics, and all my favorite 90s/00s TV shows on DVD... which I watch on a 32" Trinitron and pretend like the last couple decades never happened

I feel you here, I turned one of my spare bedrooms into a retro man cave. Like I used to have as a teenager, just the Wii U in there, a blu ray player connected to an old 20inch monitor with some powered speakers attached, proper ghetto. Wifi does not even rech that room so there's no distractions. I have a handful of my backlog movies to watch in there that I'm making my way through becuse I'm not distracted by anything else.

I collect sealed generation 1 Transformers.

I have about 20.

A couple of sealed masterpiece ones I ordered from Japan as well.

I really want to find a sealed Jetfire.

I have a masterpiece Soundwave, threw the box away as I just want to display it. Those masterpiece Transformers were so easy to find where I live, I had to use maximum willpower not to buy up a whole set of them.

I have a lot of amiibos that I’m honestly embarrassed that I have. Haven’t bought a new one in years but they just continue sitting on the shelves in my computer room.

I have quite a few FF7 play arts figures. A complete set of McFarlane MGS1 and 2 figures (well minus the stealth suit versions cause I didn't like them) a numbe of neon genesis figures, some of those new bring arts Xenogears models....and so on and so forth. Ya, a few.

Nerdy? Not unless you consider books as a nerdy collection.

Not only am I an avid reader, but I'm also a book collector. I have a personal library approaching a thousand books made up of fiction of different genres, classical works from greats such as Austen, Dickens, Woolf etc. Many works of philosophy, from Plato to Arthur Schopenhauer and lots of nonfiction books, mostly history and politics, but also have a lot of books on physics, astronomy, biology and natural history.

I'll keep collecting books for the rest of my life. Who knows how large my library will grow to? Maybe I'll end up like Umberto Eco and amass a collection of over 30,000 books!

a ton of link figures, disney vinylmation, spidey figures, invader zim figures, so much more... i totally regret getting so hooked tho. moving them and keeping them all in unbroken condition was impossible and made me realize that i should keep it simpler from now on.

I have some X-men comic books that I got as a kid that I've kept unopened since the 1990s. I also prefer to buy my movies so I have a collection of Blu-rays

I have been collecting a lot of Junji Ito's work lately. I also still have a bunch of pokemon cards I used to collect, mostly base set to rocket, which I still aim to complete one day.

I collect Canucks stuff and some Scott Steven's era New Jersey Devils stuff. I have signed jerseys of Naslund and Henrik Sedin on display and other memorabilia. This season was not kind to the Canucks :(

That reminds me I've got around 1000 comics from the 80s-90s era. 99% Marvel. But they're all in boxes. Was nice to watch all the infinity saga movies since I grew up reading the comics they were based off of.

Love wacky packages trading cards however i only collected from the 90's onwards to the modern era i'd love to have the ones from the 70's & 80's but they are just too expensive, have binders full of complete sets.

Also enjoy collecting vintage viewmaster reels, these are from the 50's to the 80's

That's awesome man. Can't imagine how surprising it would have been for people back then, they probably thought the whole invention was magic and witchcraft combined.

I used to be all about collections. books, video games, Star Wars action figures, comics etc etc.

I moved so much over the years that I decided to get rid of most of it. Slowly sold or got rid of almost everything.

I had literally thousands of DVDs and BluRays of games, movies and TV shows all on display. Once the kids were born, I put everything on Plex and put them all, but the games, in humidity controlled boxes. The games went up on eBay, for the most part, and the money went to going all digital. The only thing I kept that I plan to put out again someday are the many LEGO sets that I’ve accumulated over the past couple of decades…and then the grandkids will come along and it will all go back in storage. What have I done with my life?
