Do you still channel surf?

Neighbours from Hell
I was listening to the radio yesterday and heard two hosts talking about channel surfing and what movies they always "click and stick" to and I realized I haven't channel surfed period in probably 15 years. I really don't see how anyone still could with Netflix, Amazon Prime video, any on demand or streaming services, and video games so cheap and readily available, there's always some form of media to either watch or play if you're bored. I see no logical reason if you're bored and want entertainment to channel surf regular TV anymore. But apparently people still do.

Anyone here still channel surf?

Well, these days I just turn on the Netflix/Amazon Prime/Hulu/Roku/Youtube and few other streaming services and just click through endlessly... seeing what's available... but never end up watching it for like 30-40 minutes and just turn off. Isn't that the same as channel surfing...?

As an idiot who still pays for cable and about every other premium stream package, I absolutely NEVER channel surf.

Television Priorities in my life are as followed:
1. Sports
2. Something Marvel, Star Wars, Harry Potter related

I'm either looking for something sports-related, or I'm looking for whatever of the 3 franchises is on TV, there's just about always one and if not, gaming.

I'm a sports nut so it's either NBA, NFL, MLB, Premiership, spanish liga, serie a, ufc, boxing, nascar, and if I'm truly desperate golf. Hell I'm even a big fan of the little league world series which I think is far more exciting than MLB. If not for live sports I could cut the cord in a heartbeat.

I do occasionally because 10 channels that play movies are grouped together with a few others separated by a host of sports channels. I usually just bring up and browse the channel guide for anything interesting, though.

regular tv in my life in the past 10 years happens only when I go to the kitchen for dinner or something. and it's not because of me. no to regular tv. ban it :D

I don't really surf, but since now you can display all the channels program on your TV at any moment, I sometimes check the grid of what's playing and switch to something that seems interesting.

Our Sky box broke over a year ago so I've not channel surfed for that long. Don't miss it at all, as we just use Netflix, iPlayer, Cyberflix etc to watch the stuff we want.

My version of channel surfing is browsing Netflix or Amazon prime catalogs for minutes until i settle for something I've watched before.
I'm watching lord of the rings right now.

I don't. But we do surf on Netflix desperately searching for something to watch. The 2020 equivalent of channel surfing. When I'm watching TV I always stick to the same channels (90% of them cartoon channels).

Yes all the time, don't really watch TV besides News and Sports but the little I do it's usually a click fest at first and then I remember how much I'm not into most TV programs and shut it off.

I don't have broadcast/cable in my room so not really.

I do miss those lazy weekends just watching Rocky, Blues Brothers, and Back to the Future on the TV though.

I hated the auto play videos on Netflix and the like at first, but now I have learned to love it and it is my new channel surfing.
