Do you think Big Budget games with character creators will go back to Male/Female ?

I do believe there has been a shift in the air. Companies dropping certain programs, social media sites allowing more free speech, AAA games failing

It really does seem people have put their money where their mouth is and are not buying games with certain themes and marketing.

I remember when this stuff popped up years ago even in Japanese games.

I would say if they go back to Male/Female that would mean definitely the games industry is going back to reality.
It would be the simplest indicator.

I'm retarded?
They wont. Even japanese games adopted body type A/B garbage shit. Even if as some would claim around here that the world "healed", body type will remain forever with the exception of Korean games tho I expect them to follow soon as well.

I don't care what they call it so long as I can continue making my Malena Morgan look-a-like. Some games don't provide enough options. Clearly the developers hate classic feminine features.

I hope not. That’s so much fun to watch those big guys insecure!

I think they will expand it and have all the 50 billion genders that you can pick from. I am looking for to being a Dark Elf non binary presenting as a trans male in the next Elder Scrolls.

Did we have named genders in the original Dark Souls games?
Yes, it was Bluepoint that started the A/B nonsense with the Demon's Souls remake and From foolishly followed along with Elden Ring. I don't know if the Japanese versions of the game use male/female or A/B though.

Interestingly enough, From was actually more "progressive" with Demon's and Dark 1 because they included a masculine to feminine slider in addition to the male/female binary option. The slider was jank as hell and seemed to correlate masculinity with thinness and orange skin and femininity with plumpness and blue skin but it's the thought that counts

'Choose your Sex' will never again be a thing.

'Choose your Gender'? Maybe, but it'll take years. And that's a long shot.
