I've noticed that a lot of people on this board have an interest in 70's and 80's rock like Led Zeppelin, The Police, Talking Heads, and others. But no one ever talks about Bruce Springsteen anymore. Personally, I used to be really into his music years ago, but now it just sounds so....dated. Even after he did his 9/11 album The Rising, I saw him on SNL and his new stuff just sounded like he was stuck in an 80's time warp.
A lot of his songs like Thunder Road, Badlands, and Dancing in the Dark seem like they should be classics, but from what I can tell, no one seems to be interested except aging baby-boomers. Is Springsteen just not relevant anymore?
