I gotta say I was a little late here, got to know about them cause of Kid Cudi (he worked with them on Pursuit of Happiness and Alive).

They've got such a great sound, anyone else a fan?

Even their remixes of hip hop songs are amazing

Yes, very much so. And since another GAFfer turned me onto them (fludevil), I assume he'll show up in here if he sees it.

Going to Hard Summer Music Festival this weekend, which Ratatat will be preforming live. Only heard of their stuff with Kid Cudi though. After listening to Loud Pipes and Wildcat it looks like I'll be looking forward to their performance. Thanks.

Have loved every release since their first. Even give their mixtape a listen every so often for something different. Was wondering about LP5 on my drive back home this evening... here's hoping it is being worked on.

I've been rapping for about seveteen years okay?

I don't write my stuff anymore I just kick it from my head you know what I'm sayin? I can do that.

No disrespect but that's how I am.

I might....I was listening to some indie music radio station on my way to work a few months ago and I heard one of the coolest songs I had ever heard. So I paid attention when the dj announced who it was by...Ratatat. I have been meaning to pick up one of their albums ever since...if only for that one song.

The opening of Wildcat is so sick, gives me chills.

The first time I heard it I was studying for finals with one of my roommates and a few friends of ours. We had music playing, and Wildcat came on. My roommate was watching a slideshow about ASL signs or something, but when the cat roar thing played, he suddenly turned to his left and did an extremely impressive approximation of that sound right into the face of the girl sitting next to him.

So besides sounds real cool, the song has that emotional attachment to me as well.

LP3 is a good album.

Love them, first got into them by a friend letting me listen to these '9 tracks' album he downloaded. I think it was a leak but i'm still unsure, never got around to seeing all there stuff, though.

Any recommendations to start with?

Their debut, self-titled, is their only solid release imo.

I've been listening to them since 09, always have them in my work/workout/everything else playlist, can't get enough!

And now I am listening to everything I have by them ^______^

No matter what, this stuff picks me up.

Oh lord, I'm still obsessed. Grooved on Shempi this morning. there's a sound in there that reminds me of old carnival rides.

Also Tropicana I think is the most Beatles-esque song I've ever heard from someone not previously in the Beatles.

Lex, Falcon Punch, Mirando. I usually migrate through bands, listen to them hard and often, then drop them in a random queue while I dig on something else. But these guys, they won't go away. they will not settle into the random folder and will not be replaced.

Not since Lemon jelly have I latched onto a group so hard. Someone PLEASE tell me where to go next on the Lemon Jelly / Ratatat axis.

edit: R2DJ was too hip hop/ disco for me. Can't put my finger on it, but I wasn't crazy about it.
