Holy Cow! I never thought anyone would ask for that video again. :lol I actually edited that with him. I have it at home but I wont be able to upload it until tomorrow. In my opinion it was just something to do over xmas break in 2003. Dont take it seriously you will be extremely disappointed.

You playing with a stick or pad at the tournament? Not trying to talk shit, just genuinely curious, if I remember you were always a pad advocate.
 
I should really try Leguna out. I'm not very good but I'd like to see how well I can do. I can play decently with almost every character now (why I haven't worked on Urien yet is beyond me, but I just don't want to for some reason).

the tournament is like april 16-17th, unless you are tlaking about xbl tournaments.
 
haunts do you know what time the tournament starts? I would like to go too if its late afternoon, but I have to work.

the video doesnt really show alot of leguna's skills. it mostly consists of Haunts kicking our ass and some parrying. Its best to just challenge him on live.

Probably depends on the game. Id assume 3s would start somewhere early afternoon like 1pm or so like it did last yr.
 
Haunts, is it true that Leguna beat you on Live a few weeks ago 7-0? He was talking shit about it last time I saw him. You've really let yourself go, man! :lol

What games are going to be at the tournament? I might try and switch work days and go, but I don't know if I'd enter anything, so I don't know if it would be worth it...

I know. Urien players kick my ass online, I KNOW he's high tier, I know he has unblockable moves, good stregth, good defense. I just don't wanna learn him. But I only have 3 characters to learn anyways, so I'm gonna get to him eventually. Probably after I figure out Makoto, just because I sure as hell don't give a crap about being Elena.

I dunno why, I just like learning the weirder characters no one picks. I don't know why though, Oro is so much fun, especially with his EX Specials. Twelve is useless, but I still learned how to play as him. I don't get me sometimes.

Actually, he beat me 15-0!!!! OMFG I COULDNT BELIVE IT HE IS THE BEST

I dont remembeer the score, but I obviously came out on top. He won a couple though. It was pretty laggy. :(

I know T5 will be there, 3s, CVS2, Marvel, Guilty Gear, Alpha 3 and Super Turbo... I dont think anything outside of that afaik. You should come anyway since Bird-o is going be there.
 
Is Leguna really good though? This whole Leguna/3S phenomenon is a fucking enigma.

I'd play over Live, except well I have a modded Xbox, so I don't want to risk getting a membership only to get banned.

He'd do well againt most people on gaming age, but against people who frequent tournaments and play against higher competetion, he obviously dosent do too well.

Hmm. Maybe if I can get some GOOD practice sessions in, I'd be up for Alpha 3. I wouldn't count Birdo in until you actually see him show up. He's backed out of going to this tournament before. ;)

Where the hell you been, anyway? I want to get in some fighting game sessions with you.

The video is for a friend of mine, his GT is ForceXT. The rumor of you being the best at SF3 spread all the way to Australia where he resides and he added you to his friends list. There might be some lag when you play him so keep that in mind.

I have had a modded Xbox since 2003. Had Live since it first started (on THREE different Xbox systems now). Not banned. :)

If your XBox has never had its EEPROM replaced (And it hasn't since you haven't gone on Live and been banned), you should be okay as long as you have a switch to turn the chip off. You should try using one of those two-month free subscriptions and see if you get banned.

I didnt think it was true but you are the SF3 master. I have seen no mortal red parry every hit of chun li's super then retaliate with a 100% death stun combo.

It was the most greusome experince of my life and also the most educating.

Thank you grand master Leguna for this valuble lesson!

P.S. : sorry for blaming it on the lag. it was as smooth as the arcade that time, I jsut do not have the level of execution that you do. :(

Alright, alright, Ill upload the video first thing tomorrow (cant do anything at school). But be warned the video is nothing special in my opinion.
 
Leguna is as good at SF3 as he is at Halo 2.

The video does show you how badly everyone (except for Haunts...he's Makoto) sucks at the game, but I also blame it on bad footage. Toonami 99 is a much better player than what you see on there. :)

You could just take the vid, replace it with the words "ego" and "leguna," let the Superman music play, and get the same result.
 
thanks for the complement Lyte Edge, (not being sarcastic here) I do admit that compared to Haunts we suck, (but was happy enough to get at least 3 wins against him). The footage isnt that bad but itÂ’s almost all of the saved files I captured at Mann's house. Also if you watch closely thereÂ’s only one or two scenes of leguna playing :lol . I still have all the original fights I captured on my computer though.

Well I added haunts and leguna (though I don't know if he accepted me yet) to my list. I shall see how much I suck the day either of them are online at the same time as me.

I'm currently running a +50% average, impressive for an S-Controller'er BUT I've been playing with people on my friends list a lot who aren't all that great, so that's been helping out my average greatly. I'm almost at 1000 games, I can't believe it :lol

Infact If your going to the Tourny save some of those fights, that way we will see just how good you really are. :D
 
That wasn't a bad video. Whoever's playing Makoto (prolly Haunts) is really good. The only problem I have with the vid is that in the "killer combo's" section, you included a charge fireball as a combo. That's not a combo. Not only that, but that's just something cheap people like to do to inexperienced players.

When in that situation, pop up quick (press down when hitting the ground) or try to parry it. I hate that move so much.

(except Haunts of course) Ive had better matches recently and If I had a capturing card I would have made another vid by now. I do agree with you on the badass combos segment. We didnt have alot to put in there.
 
Only the Makoto player was good. I don't see why you'd think you're the world's best SF player at all :lol

30 seconds of fucking EX fireball parries certainly isn't a basis for it either :lol

Yeah, I agree. A lot of the video is just showcasing more how SUCKY some players are, rather than actual skills :lol

If I videotape myself putting together a jigsaw puzzle in a minute, does that mean I'm good at puzzles? It just means the puzzle was super easy.
