Does the PSTwo have a built-in IR port?

I bought the last revision of the PS2 because the built-in IR port + new DVD remote allows you to turn the system off and on with the remote.

Does the tiny PS2 have the port built in?

Yes, it does.

Now can someone tell me what the power output rating of the AC adapter is, or do I have to start a whole new thread? (volts&amps?)

Thanks! That's 48 watts! That's more than the GameCube consumes, I believe.
(I think the GameCube is 36 - 40W, I forget). You could totally make a GameCube
that's smaller than a PSTwo, if you had the modding skills.

Any smaller than the PSTwo and you're a handheld...

I would assume that the current rating for what the external power supply is able to source exceeds by a good engineering margin what the PStwo really requires.

The GameCube already has an external power supply.
