So I have Verizon, and I noticed on one of my friend's away messages, it said he was visiting Canada for the weekend.
Out of curisoity I dialed *611 and asked if there were any additional fees if I called a U.S. registered cell phone number that was currently abroad. In this case, Canada. Apparently it's 20 cents a minute.
... doesn't this seem bizarre? How are you supposed to know if the American you're calling is not in America or not, and if they aren't, be liable for extra charges?
