Where can I d/l a demo version of Doom3?

I am at my buddys place and he wants to see what Doom3 looks like on his rig (Radeon 9800XT)

I don't think there is one yet, but I hope to God that there will be one soon. My PC isn't too far off the minimum specs, and I'm not entirely convinced I'd be satisfied with the game although I keep hearing the engine is very scaleable, etc.
