I wanted to try the (basic) hotkeys showed by Waga in one of his videos from last year:

The only bummer is that the shop hotkeys do not take into account the AZERTY layout of my keyboard. I have searched on Google and it looks like an old problem with no solution:

Edit: This might work:

I've fixed it finally! so for anyone having this problem without a QWERTY keyboard : you need to go into the steam folder -> userdata -> find a folder with a "570" folder in it -> open it and modify the dotakeys_personal.lst file in the cfg. Here is the cloud storage and the cloud was overriding my change in the game.

I'd imagine maintenance and bandwidth costs played a big part in the decision. It's not easy and cheat to maintain 2 separate clients up-to-date and functional.
They may also have thought that they still have time until the next big tournament to iron thing out and remove most bugs.
