Is there any way to update the rosters on NFL2k5 without purchasing XBox live?

you could use one of the two month trials and get the rosters then cancel the account I suppose. other than that theres no way to get them without having an account. unless theres some gameshark way to do it but Ive never heard of anyone getting rosters that way on Xbox.

You could buy an Action Replay and get them that way I believe, but it's cheaper (free) to just sign up with a 2 month trial and download them, then cancel.

The 2 month trial is only a 1 time use though right?


I used it about 2 years ago for PGR and then I canceled, so I don't think I can use another 2 month trial from another game?

I guess I'll just have to purcahse XBox live as I really need that new roster update.

It might be possible if you've got a modchip, but I'm not sure of the legality of downloading updates and FTPing them over to your Xbox.

Hmm, it seems I was able to sign up for a new free trial. I thought it was limited to one trial per Xbox. This will be awesome if it works.

no you can use the 2 month trial card multiple times you just have to create a new gamertag every time. not sure if you have to use a different credit card to sign up but I know several people from GAF have used trial cards over multiple gamertags.

But, how do I download 3rd party rosters like the ones linked above. All I see availalbe are the official VisualConcepts rosters.

yea....get an Action Replay or modchip. Then you can put the custom ones on. Which are great, btw.

Oh, so I didn't need an XBox live account after all? Yeah because it doensn't seem like there is anywhere I can log onto a website and download the rosters. The XBox doesn't seem to have a broswer of any sort.


So action replay will let me use the custom rosters. Action replay will get.
