I loved these. Worth watching the TNM review just for these. (Though the buu voices one is going to give me nightmares)
They then moved on to smaller projects like the dbz shorts and HFIL (which, being aninated by devilartemis, is actually pretty good)
Burn out. By the latter half of the cell saga they kept getting themselves overworked and sick, to the point they were hating their job and passion. Thats why the 60 took a year to finish.

I have only one old ass DVD of DBZ and that's the battle between Buu and Goku and Vegeta failing and eventually fusing into Vegeto. The demeanor in the overlayed voices of both Goku and Vegeta are just as awesome as their fusion appearance.

Man this shit takes me back to the late 90's when a friend's brother's FTP server had VHS fansubs in real media format, about 8-10MB per episode...once Cartoon Network ran out of episodes at the end of the Frieza arc that's all I had to watch and man, I surely watched the whole rest of the show in a blurry pixelated mess.

If you like abridged stuff, Yugioh abridged is actually still going. I don't care much for the newer episodes, and it looks like the cancel mob went after him, but it's nice to see.
Back when there were releases of dbz and yugioh abridged over podcasts, I actually nabbed a few things not currently on their channels

The shorts were mixed but HFIL grew on me fast. Probably helped that the villains in DBZA tended to be the best characters.

Nope, they finished the buu saga, the series got canned during the uncensored run of the buu saga after syndication because soccer moms got pissed hercule’s name was mr. Satan

I remember there being an uncensored run on adult swim. You could see goku's ass on snake way. Sometimes the puns write themselves

I still watch the pixelated mess cut of Gohan vs Cell fight that I still have on my HDD, pretty much the only DB I watch these days still revisit it twice a year or so

Anyone else remember Toonami running out of episodes so everytime it got to Goku landing on Namek about to lay the smack down, the next day's episode Farmer With Shotgun would greet us again?
I got all the original Ocean dub and original Broadcast Funi1.0 (Namek and up to Trunks) dub on bootleg, backed up across multiple drives and iCloud lol.

Incorrect, good sir. They went up to Ginyu Force. Then restarted and switched from Ocean dub to Funimation dub. Then they went up to end of Frieza and restarted. Then they went up to end of Cell and restarted ar Trunks’ arrival. Then they finally finished.

Possibly, I admit I wasn’t aware CN and/or Toonami broadcast in other countries. IIRC former YouTube group Super Best Friends Play, who were based in Canada, said they don’t get CN.
But yeah, in the US, it definitely aired, after what felt like an eternity after the Cell Saga ended, I was watching CN and was greeted with this during commercial break:
And then I saw it, and it was the weakest saga of DBZ:
Like, not terrible, there’s some cool moments, but it barely flows as a story and barely anything set up pays off even by DBZ standards.

The buu saga’s biggest fault was toriyama 180’ing on gohan and the new generation being the main focus. I get that people font like gohan as a character, but if he was rewritten to be more actionary than reactionary, i feel like the lead-up to buu wouldve been more seamless.
That and how the buu saga just comes up with new ideas to abandon them in favor of other new ideas
Overall its definitely not the worst db arc (gt and super exist afterall) but its easily the weakest of the Z line
