I was always under the impression that スライムベス meant "Slime Beast," due to some other DQ usages of べス as "beast." Is this wrong? Can anyone confirm?

Don't have a Japanese font, but in the FF's, they use Bi-suto for beast usually..and I've seen places that sell the plushie call it Slimebeth (I had no idea, I just called it Red Slime for a long time, since I had no idea what a 'besu' was supposed to be).

What other times has a DQ used 'besu' for beast? Nothing is coming to mind.

So you got a Slime Knight, a Metal Slime, a King Slime, and one of those spot slimes from 6.

Beh, it saves me $50 if the game isn't released in the US ($50 I don't really have, atm).

$10 for 4 of the little figures, whereas if I got them seperately (found some form another seller in an eBay BuyItNow store) they'd be $4 EACH. So I actually saved $6 getting 'em all in that set. About $2.25 each doesn't seem so bad. (Of course, like you said, I'm sure they're VERY inexpensive in Japan.)

Well, here's the eBay store I found the others at. Some of 'em are bloody six bucks, but it's better than nothing, I suppose.

How new are these things? Maybe in a week or so there'll be more. I remember when Domo-kun and Gloomy Bears were hot shit, it was impossible to find anything on eBay of them. ...now I have a shelf full of Gloomy crap. :lol
