I've almost drowned as a toddler. The only thing I remember is my mom running at me and grabbing me out from under the water.

You do not want drowning. It's not as simple as you think it is.

Son of a bitch. I'm afraid of drowning, but the other two are horrible too. There's no way to pick on that one.
If I was forced, buried alive. At least I'd have a chance to Kill Bill v2 my way out of it.

same thing happened to me when I was a toddler. I remeber the feeling of dreed while I flapped away in the pool. luckly my mom heard the door close and yanked me out. thats my first memory too. how sad.

Buried alive, it's relatively gentle compared to the other two, no intense pain that lasts for minutes.

Obviously it still sucks.

I'm somewhat a fan of asphyxiation, so I'd have to pick either drowning or buried alive, depending on the details of the burial, as mentioned by ArcadeStickMonk. Now if you added hanging to the mix, I'd take that in an instant.

Edit: Ok, with the additions made just before my post, I'd take drowning. I'm not a big fan of insects and such, so I'd rather not die feeling insects crawling all over me. If I had to suffocate inside a coffin, it might not be so bad.

Occasionally I've had thoughts that while cremation after death would be nice, I dread the possibility that I might somehow be misdiagnosed as dead. You know, like in some movies where a character is slipped one of those drugs that makes them look dead, or in real life, where someone sent to the morgue is discovered to be alive hours later. I doubt anyone could hear you, or would even be listening, as your body is moved into the oven on a conveyer belt, and then reduced to ash. Ugh.

Buried alive would leave your body more intact than the other two, but suffocating sucks.

Drowning chokes and suffocates you, leaving your body bloated.

Burning - well depending on the intensity of the flames, this might be the best option. Especially if your family is into cremations anyway. Your nerve endings would burn away, so the pain might be brief. Then you dehydrate to death. I'm sure you'd die of shock at some point actually.

Burning all the way!

Buried alive is EASILY the worst. just thinking about your situation, so helpless, so hideously trapped and unable to move....::shudders::: NEVER.

I'm also not a big fan of drowning, that would be awful.....so by process of elimination, I guess I'd have to burn. :(

Drowning. After the burning and the headache, you go. You don't gotta sit there and feel your skin burnign slowly as you're helpless and left to suffer. Its teh awfulz

Aren't all three the same? o_O

Drowning = lungs fill with water, asphyxia due to lack of oxygen.

Burning = fire eats up oxygen, asphyxia by smoke inhalation.

Buried Alive = lack of oxygen, buildup of carbon dioxide, inhalation of dirt/soil, asphyxiation.

You guys picking "buried alive" are nuts. That one'd probably take the longest.

I'd want to be buried alive then. Those last moments I would be able to come to peace with myself and my life, thinking of all my loved ones one last time. Then, when the oxygen is almost out of the air, I'll probably pass out and die a peaceful death.

I've had a scary incident as well. I was probably 7 or 8 when we went to a waterpark, and we were in one of those giant wave pools. I had an inner tube and for some reason decided to try to use it "upsidedown." So I fall into the thing face-first, then soon realize that I'm stuck and can't get out or flip the tube over. I was struggling for what seemed like forever when my father finally pulled me up. I'm sure I was only stuck under there for a few seconds, but it felt a hell of a lot longer than that.

Still, given the choices above, I'd probably go with drowning.

Well, you have to admit that the burning sort of involves the most obviously undesirable type of pain to most people, so that doesn't help it much. Then again, the OP could clarify some of these things a little more.

As for drowning - What is the water temperature? What kind of body of water: open ocean/lake/pond, pool, bathtub, bucket?

As for burning - Under what circumstances are we being burned? Trapped in a building fire? Incinerated by some sort of rapid explosion?

Here's something I created just for those times when you've got two people to execute, and just need some variety.

A bit more clarificiation...

Burning: Gasoline doused or regular house fire.

Buried Alive: What I said above with the raw dirt

Drowning: lake/river/ocean 5 - 12 degrees celcius.

What's scary is that's probably part of a larger collection of "art". Not even made specifically for this thread, you just pulled this out of a pile of "death machine" drawings you keep with you at all times. Am I right? :D

Seriously, though, that's pretty funny. I'll expect more of your fine artwork in inevitable future threads like "Drawn and Quartered, Scaphism, Brazen Bull, or Death by a Thousand Cuts?" :D :D :D

Burning.
I'm really affraid of drowning and I'm not too happy about dark, small places.

Being burned to death means I'll see this shitty world (well, I will be burned...) when I die one last time, I won't think of my death a lot because it will be kinda fast (2-3 minutes? I guess even less) and the guy who burns me is going to die of the stank! :lol Payback!

Well, sadly no. I spent most of my drawing time this month portraying Princess Zelda as a sex-crazed evil despotic queen who kidnaps various Nintendo heroines and takes them for her very own. I might have to just start drawing some more death machines eventually, now that you mention it. :D

it's great how random threads will sometimes reveal that a gafer you didn't know was crazy is, in fact, completely insane. add darthwoo and his cartoon necrophilia (or whatever) to the pile of assorted furries and alien abductees and believers in intelligent design!

oh: drowning.

I'm still trying to figure out what the heck happened to TTOB that made him stop drawing, especially after something he said in another thread. All I know is what I saw in a limited sample of his drawings, but he seems to ignore all inquiries as to what happened, and that only furthers my curiosity.

Is the belgurdo on deviantART the same as you? I noticed one belgurdo having visited my gallery not too long after I had made a post about my dA gallery here, so I was just curious.

Haha god you guys picking buried alive are crazy. Being alive in a confined space with little to no air, dark, cant move, the pressure on your chest causeing extreme pain and you can still stay alive for a couple of days. I mean your jsut there you know whats going on for a couple of days. At least when you drown yea you feel pain but then its over.

Some fun trivia re: Being buried alive.

There used to be bells that rested above graves with a string leading down into the coffin, which the person inside would pull if they were actually still alive. This spawned the phrase 'Saved by the Bell'. A person would be employed to listen out for those bells. This spawned the phrase 'The Graveyard shift'.

That's awesome.

If I could at least get buried alive in a coffin I'd take that. Drowning scares me, not a big fan of being submerged in water in general. Burned alive as a second choice because I could run around setting fire to other people/things.

But if I was buried alive in a coffin I'd probably just spend my time masturbating to death. :lol

Aside from the creepy stuff, did ya like what you saw? ;)

Yeah, your stuff is pretty cool, especially on the fact that you don't draw stuff like raver faeries and pink catgirls singing emo songs like 90% of the other artists there. I always tend to look for something "different" while I browse around there
