DS E3 stylus -- any good?

Has anyone tried out the freebie DS stylus they gave out at E3? The one that lights up or whatever? Is it any better (i.e. more comfortable) than the one packed in with the DS?

I love that stylus. I flop the metal tag and chain part over the top of my hand when I use it, and that gives it more "weight" so that it stays in my hand without much strain during furious sessions of Feel the Magic. My ogre hands are too big for the built-in stylus jobby.

I keep seeing these things on ebay and they usually go for over $30. I'd really like one but I'm not spending $30+ for a stylus.

I actually have a pen that has a stylus built into it. If I could find the damn thing I'd try it out. It's a decent size and has a rubber grip so it's easy to hold.

Does anyone else have problems with the light on their stylus? Mine kinda works...sometimes, after removing and then inserting the batteries, it will work but then it stops again. It isn't that big of a deal or anything but it's somewhat irritating.

Motherfucker!
I had a shitload of them!
I might actually cry, not in small part becuase I just got bummed booking a flight to Seattle from London on Christmas Eve...

:'-(

I took the batteries on mine out. I kept accidentally hitting the "on" while playing and if it went into strobe mode it added extra distraction from what I was supposed to be doing on-screen.

Hey John, I have tried it, and it's okay, but better than the POS one that's on the back of the DS. It's a little too fat for my tastes, and has a dangling E3 2004 medallion on it which I wouldn't want to scratch the unit or the screen. 30 bucks? Pfffft. Not worth it.

At Nintendo's press event this fall they handed out this leather notepad case that had a stylus/pen duo thing that I like the best so far. There's a picture of it in my story here: http://www.gameinformer.com/News/Story/200411/N04.1119.1923.05558.htm

You got bummed? Is this related to yours and Adam's cruising of a certain club on Charing Cross road this past Monday?

i use it exclusively for my Nintendo DS (tm)

oh, except the battery for the light has died and i lost the chain too. but it's a great stylus for mario.

It looks fantastic, I got a couple of them. Didn't realize they are worth something. But as a stylus - it's a shitty, shitty stylus. Like drawing with chalk.

I picked up two of these suckers at E3 (just gave my spare to the girl I live with), they're very cool, and yes - they work nicely on the DS. :) It will be interesting to see if third parties release anything, but i doubt they'll be as classy as this thing - besides, this has 'history', as it was used on the prototype DS too. Mmm!

I want one :(

This is the stylus that Thug chick on G4TV.com used to play the NDS on last weeks Thanksgiving episode. Looks cool.

Phe. I was one of the many who had a pen that didn't light up. I tried fucking with the batteries, but the thing never turned on. :(
