The whole DS launch was rushed to beat the PSP. Needed another 6 months for the software to mature.

They didn't really have a choice this time. As big as an advantage Sony will have over Nintendo (in my eyes at least, based on pricing and capabilities and "cool" factor), it would have been much worse if all Nintendo had was the GBA.

Nintendo is a much smaller company, and I command them for the DS. It's really the best they could have come up with. It's still my belief it won't be enough however.
