Aesthetically: Duskbloods

Graphically: Nightreign

Both look like asset swaps. Problem is Elden Ring is a 2022 game, Duskbloods looks like a partial rip of Bloodborne which is a 2015 game. You can see it in the screenshots. If Duskbloods didn't look 10 years old, I'd go with that.

We've seen nothing of duskbloods to form an opinion of it. Multi-player focused fromsoftware games aren't for me either way tbh.

Right now, Nightreign has more potential to be even more of a 'Souls All Stars' game with content updates. I can see them adding areas from DS 3, and graphically updated areas from DS 2 and DS 1 (and hopefully even Armored Core 6, screw it 🤷‍♂️ ).

I need to see the actual gameplay loop of Duskbloods but artistically it looks better.

8 players, traditional Souls gameplay speed and small areas like darks souls games vs 3 players, Fast paced gameplay, open world.

Exactly, they both look cool but for different reasons IMO. After playing and enjoying Nightrein, I won't be judging Duskbloods until I see more and play it.

Can you be anymore biased with the voting options and the title of each btw lol. Your nintendo bias is showing my dude lol.

I mean, why else would you get *this* obsessed over a new IP without any gameplay footage at the moment, that doesn't seem to have much in common with the previous titles of that same developer, lol.
The game has been having some special kind of shilling ever since it got announced, especially with that one user repeatedly calling it 'Bloodborne 2', despite it sounding nothing like Bloodborne. Zacfoldor Zacfoldor

People, myself included, thought for a second that this was actually Bloodborne 2 but with a different name, kinda like when they went from Demons Souls to Dark Souls.

Because of this, hype was through the roof, at least until they revealed that the game is mp focused. Thing is, some fans (fanboys?) still haven't recovered from the whiplash. So they keep shilling the game like it's the second coming when (imo) it looks like another mp cashgrab.

I'm looking forward to trying both, but somewhat more excited for Duskbloods because it's such a black box. All we really know is that it's Miyazaki and it's a competitive multiplayer title. I know for some people that's a reason to be less excited, but I'm intrigued by the idea of something completely new from a brilliant developer.

I also feel like some of you have been so traumatized by the way that chasing GaaS dollars have derailed some studios and publishers that you've lost sight of the fact that for decades developers have been producing single and multiplayer titles side-by-side without one completely swallowing up the other. Elden Ring sold tens of millions of copies. FromSoft isn't going to walk away from the opportunity to have another success like that just because they're also experimenting with multiplayer titles.

Why not both

But I trust Miyazaki with blind faith, I'm 100% certain Duskblood will be the better game.
second reasons i choose

We don't know enough about duskblood to have a opinion on it (imo)

But definitely duskbloods because nightreign re-used the map of elden ring

You should have learned by now to not rely on review scores on niche, passionate games.

Yea I ain't buying a PS4 + PSVR for a VR experience that has nothing to do with souls like. Also ended up with bad scores, "dont trust" and all but if the game had been available PCVR, maybe.

His best work?

Yeah, wasn't really serious with that. Déraciné being his best work was serious, though.

Both look cool, love From's aesthetics in general. I'm not interested in playing either though.

Duskbloods looks great visually but I don't like PvP because besides playing videogames I also have a life and that tends to make PvP unpleasant. It wasn't reassuring to see Miyazaki acknowledging that people were upset at it being PvP (blatantly contradicting fanbase usually goes poorly), saying he himself isn't really a PvP person (so how can you design a good one?), and describing some kind of mishmash of random tasks and game styles in a general elimination format where you may need to cooperate with someone or may be attacked at range.

Im just gonna point out that the only reason ANYONE is hyped for Duskbloods is the aesthetic but its biggest problem is its focus is PvP, that alone is hugely meh.
At least Nightreign is PvE leaning into the series actual strengths.

We haven't seen any gameplay of Duskbloods, how do you know that there is no stutter?

Is Nintendo paying you to make these threads?

The Duskbloods features both Player versus Environment (PvE) and Player versus Player (PvP) modes. It's described as a PvPvE action role-playing game, meaning players will fight both against each other and against the game's environment. The game supports up to eight players in multiplayer matches.

By the description of the gameplay loop, it plays like a battle royal with PvE elements. It is so drastically different from what Fromsoft has traditionally done, there is no way not to be highly skeptical

Everything said about it so far makes it sound like a battle royale with some PvE elements…Its focus is the PvP aspect, the weakest aspect of all Soulsborne games…You can quote the PvPvE descriptor all you want but it doesnt change the focus is PvP. Meh

It's a Hack and Slash Escape from Tarkov or Hunt Showdown. If you like the PvPvE genre it's be great otherwise it's a bad time for everyone else.

lol at the totally unbiased poll options.

Aesthetically Duskblood looks more interesting since Nightreign is literally just recycled Elden Ring assets.
Conceptually though I find Nightreign way more appealing since it's a pure Co Op experience. The PVP aspect of Duskblood doesn't appeal to me at all, I've never really cared about PVP in any FROM game, the only time I ever engaged with it was Dark Souls 2 to get that cool Dragon Armor.

If anything I'd have liked a combination of the 2. A pure Co-Op experience but with the aesthetic of Duskbloods.
