[Biff Hardbody]

I'm using Nero startsmart when trying to burn video files (yeah, its what you think it is) to my dvd-r. I click on "make data disc", and the process goes just fine. When the dvd-r is finished copying and I try to play files from it, my pc freezes and I have to reset it. Wuts the dealy yo?

I'm using an NEC dual layer dvd-/+ RW drive

It has something to do with Nero although I don't remember what exactly as I've never had the problem.

Go to Start>Run>type: msconfig> click the "Startup" tab and make sure the little box next to NeroCheck is unchecked.

Also, if you have InCD installed, uninstall it.

Doh. Well, I know it has something to do with Nero. Check the NEC specific forums at this link and do a search. I'm almost positive I've seen this problem pop up before.
