Complete list

Notables--

The best film of summer 2004, and one of the best of the year:

B00005JN2Z.01.LZZZZZZZ.jpg

Now with even more endings:

The weakest of the three seasons, but still better than most of the spinoffs that followed:

This was the film playing on the plane flight I took over Thanksgiving vacation, and I didn't have my headphones with me. It's actually a little bit better without sound:

And lots of enormous repackaged TV boxsets as well: X-Files seasons 1-9 (complete series); ST: TOS 1-3 (complete); M*A*S*H 1-7; Futurama 1-4 (complete); Buffy 1-7 (complete); Angel 1-4 (complete); 24 1-3.

Actually...they didn't add anything to the ending of Return of the King; your joke at its expense is in fact misguided.

Have to wait until Christmas to get ROTK:EE, will likely try to rent Collateral while I'm home.

LeBron loves his girlfriend. There is no other woman in the world he’d rather have. The problem is, Dwyane’s not a woman.

The Yakuza Papers: Battles Without Honor Or Humanity. An epic five-film saga from Kinji "Battle Royale, Graveyard of Honor" Fukasaku, made in 1973-74 and guaranteed to kick your ass. The five films in the series are also available seperately:

I am completely stoked for this. Also, while not listed by DVD Verdict and not widely available in the first place, this officially ships tomorrow:

Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam. All 50 episodes in one glorious box. Or, at least, it would have been glorious had a) Bandai not been forced to replace the original opening and ending songs due to licensing reasons and b) had bothered to tell anyone about this in advance. Good job, guys. Not that this is going to stop me from enjoying my copy, which is sitting on the coffee table waiting for me to finish re-watching the three original Gundam movies.

FnordChan, who will, of course, be picking up Return of the King: Super Fanboy Edition tomorrow night

My wallet has been hemmorhaging money this month, and I haven't heard of these films until just now, but after reading some reviews I really do think I must own them.

I've seen the recent R1 DVD releases of both Street Mobster (1972) and the original Graveyard of Honor (1975) and they're fucking incredible. Gritty, hyper-violent period pieces about brutal men who are either pushed to the edge or choose throw themselves over. We're talking exploitation flicks of the highest order. So, the thought of a five-film epic in this vein is just too much to resist. I'll be picking up a set immediately after Christmas, then going back to buy the other Fukasaku yakuza flicks when I have the money.

Wow, that's definitely a set I'd like to own. If only I could buy DVDs to my heart's content. I'll grab it sooner or later.

Finally bought a new PSP, but then pushed the demon onto someone else. Jesus.
:lol @ those giving props to Collateral. The movie has way too many 'Yeah right...' moments to be taken seriously.

Most likely next year. Every other country has gotten a very nice 2 disc SE of I, Robot. Expect it in the US next year.

I couldn't find any of the 12-disc LOTR Trilogy EE sets, so I just picked up I,Robot and Collateral.

Funny, local Best Buy got so many 12 disc sets they had them marked down 25% ($70). They had two giant floor stands FULL of the Trilogy sets.

They only got in 2 gift sets though.

i picked up Collateral at Circuit City for $14.99. Cheapest i've seen it this week. WTF is with the 2 extra clips on the side of the case though?

also picked up Blade Runner and Boiler Room for $6 a pop at Borders.

Would it happen to be a Universal DVD by any chance?

<fingers crossed that this hasn't spilled over into other studios>
