The Last Chapter was a tv series that was shown in Quebec two years ago, It was about biker gangs. It was pretty damn good, I recommend it

B0009A1BMM.01._SCLZZZZZZZ_.jpg

it's a TV series that was made and aired in quebec.

The biker gangs in quebec used to control most of the criminal underworld during the 90's...(and in other provinces, a bit less)

It's a reason why it was pretty popular here.

Picking up The Sting: SE and the Hammer Horror Series this week. Can't believe it's taken this long to get the Sting in widescreen; I'm somewhat interested in the SE of To Kill a Mockingbird, less so in Deer Hunter (*cough*overrated*cough* :D). At the very least, the packaging on these Legacy discs is pretty swank.

The Hammer set is just a fantastic value, although I'm hardly a fan of Universal's cramming eight movies onto two discs. Stupid double-sided crap.

Probably getting:

Hammer horror collection
The Sting SE (widescreen, finally)
Greta Garbro boxset
Bela Lugosi collection

Interested in:

To Kill A Mockingbird SE (but this would be a double-dip for me; don't know what the new special features are)

I want Lost too, but that can probably wait a while. I'll also have to get out and get Oldboy now that it should officially be at Best Buy. I never got the chance to hunt it down elsewhere.

LeBron loves his girlfriend. There is no other woman in the world he’d rather have. The problem is, Dwyane’s not a woman.
Getting Lost and renting Crash.

Who will do Gadget's voice now that Don Adams is gone? It just wouldn't feel right if they have Matthew Broderick OR (gag) French Stewart do it. Their go-go-gadget is weaksauce.

I've got Fraggle Rock: Season One on its way now...it was released a little early (In parts of Canada, anyways) and Amazon.ca shipped it yesterday.

Sweet! Grabbing this right away. Anyway, odd to see the Bela Lugosi collection come out this week. Just watched Ed Wood for the first time, as my dad buys and sells a lot of stuff so he gets a lot of weird stuff. One kid had a load of comic books, Ed Wood, some old Ed Wood films, and the Batman/Superman movie. Just got interested in the real Bela Lugosi so I may consider buying that.

Or you suckers could of got off your asses and bought the sweet Toy Story 2-pack way back in like 2000 for a mear $25.

The 2-pack had no real extras. Maybe you're thinking of the 3-disc Ultimate Toy Box set, which is now pretty expensive... hence my buying this. Not waiting for an HD release, since I see no chance of getting an HDTV anytime in the next few years.

How much is the Ultimate Toy Box going for now?

[glances over at it on the book shelf]

Is Lost really that great of a series? I watched 2 shows (have of each), so I really don't know. Is it that good? Keep in mind my favorite TV series is The Sapronos.

Aha, that explains it. I tried searching for it at my R1-importer, but they didn't have it on preorder or anything. Oh well.

Fuck yeah. Lost is the most captivating series I've seen in 20 years. A must-see.

There's a new Toy Story 2 SE coming out on 12/26.
yup, I guess it's not as cheap as I'd like...I thought $17 for the price of 2, but it's still worth getting it...

No, I realized that, and I'm really excited about a dvd looking at the impact of simply Toy Story 1, outside of it as a brand name. It was a huge advancement in animation and deserves a loaded dvd. Nice to here Toy Story 2 will get the same.

I have both Toy Story's in a box set along with "A Bugs Life".

In other words, you have weaksauce versions of three films. The 2-Disc Collector's Edition of a Bug's Life is a great set, too, along with the Toy Story ones.

Best Buy has the first episode of ROME on DVD for free if you buy ANY HBO TV series DVD set.

And Lost, Toy Story, and Crash all came out on UMD today and they ALL have extras including commentary on Crash.
