With all this bullcrap about how this generation is already won because Sony put on a good show at E3 yearly geekfest just makes me think of 2001 E3, which being a geek i was there.
You know who sucked big time, Xbox. I spent the whole time there, and halo was was chugging badly on the multiplayer screens, nothing was exciting at all.
You know who won, hands down, was the gamecube and that amazing star wars game. The people were mobbing the booth, microsofts booth was in comparison deserted. The best looking game was that star wars game.
Sony was somewhere in the middle, not really making a huge impression, but still had alot of games showing off and dominated in terms of games running off there console.
Now, who is in last place this generation? who is getting killed in North America, the same company that killed at E3 when they unveiled the gamecube.
It is likely Sony will win this generation, but I take all this forum sensationalism with a grain of salt. Its about who can make great selling games, and thats when to get excited, WHEN THE ACTUAL GAMES ARE RELEASED.
Its like getting excited about the pregame show of the superbowl, only the crazed fans care enough to matter.
I realize this whole messaqe is largely in vein, just cant stand these forum idiots who need to downplay xbox and nintendo presentations with "ONE CONSOLE FUTURE" or "SONY HAS WON THIS GENERATION" without playing a game. Sometimes I wonder why companies put so much into advertising when it hardly ever inpires me to buy there product, then i read these forums and realize how powerful it can be to influence some people.
