REDWOOD CITY, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 13, 2005--Electronic Arts Inc. (Nasdaq:ERTS - News) today announced that it has 25 videogames for next generation consoles currently in development. EA's announced next generation line-up will be at the upcoming Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) in Los Angeles, May 18-20, 2005.

New games from the EA SPORTS(TM) and EA(TM) brands that will be unveiled at E3 include: Tiger Woods PGA TOUR® 06, FIFA 06, Madden NFL 06, NBA LIVE 06, Need For Speed(TM) Most Wanted and The Godfather(TM). EA's focus on character development, animation, gameplay innovation, online play, and graphics will be showcased in its next generation titles.

"EA's diverse next generation line-up will give game players worldwide an early taste of what the next generation hardware systems can do," said Don Mattrick, EA president of worldwide studios. 25 Next Gen titles....and I bet not a single game is an original IP.

Every game will either be a licensed title or sports.

That isn't a lot of games, considering each console version of each game is its own SKU.
So countaing all three next-gen systems, those sports games alone are nearly 20 games.
Which means they only have like 2-3 non-listed non-sports (or could be sports, who knows) Next-gen games in development, heh.
