Okay, I'm sure anyone who's checked out my rants and raves in the PSP Madden 06 IGN Review thread knows my feeling about this utterly PATHETIC "effort" by Electronic Arts QA team. It's one thing to have a slimmed down, feature lacking version of the game in its first iteration on a new platform. It's a whole another thing when EA releases an INSANELY buggy product out to the public, and charges the same price as the console equivalent. I will NOT sit here idly and pretend to be satisfied with this poor excuse for a release. I mean, anyone who owns this game should contact EA, and demand a refund. Personally I don't think it's worth the plastic it was printed on, and the paper wasted to create that sad and utterly lacking "instruction" manual.
This isn't just an EA hate thread, no. I had absolutely no problem with EA before this debacle, in fact I was a defender of theirs for a long time. I've always wondered why people have so much hate for EA just because they make good business moves. Heck, I never even thought that the NFL exclusive license was that bad of a thing, but wow...this is a whole new ballgame folks. I've NEVER in my 15 year plus gaming history, played a game as buggy and lacking as Madden 06 on the PSP. Not only are the graphics PSX caliber disguised to be better due to the screen resolution, not only does the game stutter like a 4 cylinder vehicle operating on a single spark plug, not only do we have to disable one of the main features that makes Madden, Madden, to make the game remotely playable (commentary)... No, we also have to endure random shutdowns, a slow and cumbersome interface, ridiculously pathetic presentation on all levels, randomly disappearing kick meters, and shoddy controls. Basically take the very worst iteration of the 3D Maddens, randomly screw up the games coding, ship it out can charge 10 bucks more than every other PSP game out on the market. Congratulations, you now have Madden 06 for the PSP.
I will not sit here idly and take this... I will take action. I haven't decided just how yet, but I have decided that I'm not going to take this. Pointless argument, impossible battle? Maybe, but thats $50 of my hard earned money that I wished I had back. I won't be satisfied until they offer to exchange the game, refund me in full, or release a patch that will fix all of problems that we have to go through just to play 20 minutes of videogame football. Just how in the world did this game pass the QA testers is mind-boggling. You guys can look at my posting history and see that I rarely if never complain about anything. I just couldnt make myself sit there, shut up and take this from a company that should know better. EA, damn you for messing over the people who made you what you are today. You have no shame, and it shows.

And IGN and Gamespot, shame on you guys for not reporting these blatant problems that are so easily visible after less than an hour of play. I'm not one that shouts "moneyhats" -- but you have to wonder after this.
