lemme get one or two licks
Is there a way to get your money back after you have sent a payment through paypal. I bought something on ebay and sent the payment through but realized it wasn't what I wanted. I did this about an hour ago. Thanks for any help.

You're joking, right? You bought the item, deal with it. Don't be a jerk.

Are you nuts? If he didn't get what was in the listing he has every right to complain.

Contact the seller first, because Paypal is not much help when it comes to these things unfortunately.

I don't need it, it was an accident. I'm not being jerk.

Uh. Try again.
If you just plain out don't want/need the item, but realized this after you bought it, you are being an ass.
If you realized that the description was inaccurate or misleading of what you're actually getting, then you have right to be upset.
But it sounds like you bought something and then went "Whoops, I don't want this!"

Did you even read what what he said? He said he bought it a hour ago. He's not complaining he just wants out of what he bought.

To the OP you need to try and contact the seller first and see if he will happen to be nice enough and refund you the money. You also need to reread the ebay terms you agreed to though because every bid is binding. When you don't go through with something you bid for you take away a sale, the seller is charged for selling the item, and you cost the seller time and frustration. And working through paypal makes the whole damn process even worse.

Yeah that's exactly what happened. I bought it then when the confirmation came through my email I read it again and thought damn this isn't what I thought I was buying. It was nothing wrong on the part of the seller, I just didn't read the page carefully. I didn't buy it with the intentions of backing out, if so I wouldn't have immediatly sent the payment in, and hope that the seller would see it my way and refund my monies.

Yeah, but that didn't happen. He simply bid, paid and changed his mind an hour later. That's not how eBay works.

Before you confirm a bid, the screen says that you're agreeing to a contract and obligated to follow through with the purchase once you've bid.

I didn't change my mind it wasn't the item I was looking for.

I agree with that, but I was wondering if it made allowances for mistakes on the users part. I now see that it's up to the seller to want to refund me my monies or not. If he doesn't then I'll live with that.

A guy goes to the flea market, buys something, then decides a few minutes later he doesn't want it anymore. He goes back to the seller for his money and he gets a fat lip for being an ass.

Let it go.

Okay, in this case, the best thing to do would be explain the situation to the seller. Many eBay sellers are quite reasonable, and they can offer you a refund at no cost to themselves. Contact the seller first in this case, you need to file a claim against the seller to actually get your money back, and since there's nothing wrong with the description, that would be akin to fraud.
