Just needed to know if anyone else has gotten anything like this recently since Ebay always has problems with scammers who send out legitimate looking emails and I get them all the time. I can report it to them or something if it isn't

Rule #1: If you're at all suspicious, don't click on any links in the email. Type the website's address in the Address Bar yourself.

Yeah, don't click on that link. Send the email (along with all the header information) to spoof@ebay.com and ask for a response.

Do a help search on Ebay, and I don't think you'll find any mention of "EBay gift certificates."

That's a real url there when GAF parses the text, but hover your mouse over it in your email reader. If it's a scam, you'll notice that it redirects to a different site.

Just forward the email with NO EDITS to 'spoof@ebay.com' . Only forwarded emails are looked at.

Got a reply from Ebay telling me it was a spoof scam. Thanks a lot

The link took me to what looked like the eBay site, with my username already on the page. Clicked on "My eBay", which took me to the secure eBay site, which looked legit. Didn't sign in though.
