Ebay sent me a gift certificate-is this an email scam?

Just needed to know if anyone else has gotten anything like this recently since Ebay always has problems with scammers who send out legitimate looking emails and I get them all the time. I can report it to them or something if it isn't
 
Rule #1: If you're at all suspicious, don't click on any links in the email. Type the website's address in the Address Bar yourself.

How to redeem your Gift Certificate:

1. Log on to signin.ebay.com/ws2/ISAPI.dll?redeem=(scrubbed out)&action=verify_(scrubbed out). You must log in using the link provided in 3 days from receiving this message.
2. Once you have logged in the amount will automatically credited to your account. Please allow up to 5 days for the amount to show off in your account balance.
3. You can use the redeemed amount to pay for items or to pay your account fees.



Some Important Terms

* Resale of eBay Gift Certificates is prohibited. You may be required to verify your identity using a credit card.
* Multiple Gift Certificates can be redeemed on a single purchase, up to a maximum of $500.00 USD per purchase. The unused balance may be applied to other eBay purchases.

Hmm, well I'll be :)

Anyhow, I think it's ultra-fishy -- and IMO confirms it a scam -- that the email basically demands a reply within three days.

And they sent it to me a day and a half late-I guess that was supposed to hasten my decision to click
 
The link took me to what looked like the eBay site, with my username already on the page. Clicked on "My eBay", which took me to the secure eBay site, which looked legit. Didn't sign in though.

I can't believe you couldn't figure out that it was a scam.
