EBGames: "Buy NFL2K3! PLEASE!"

Sports games have the worst deprecation value of any genre.
probably because they come out nearlyevery year with udated rosters etc. It's hard to play a game with everything new out there.

Actually, a true modern day ET would have to be an Electronic Arts sports title made during the last year (guess which one?), and Rallisport Challenge 2.

yeah sports games in general are the ET's of our generation.

expect madden 05 to have the same fate.

and yeah sports games go down in value because A. shitloads of them are made and B. no one wants an out of date sports game.

they push alot of business for game stores though.

Why does the Used copy cost 2x as much? :lol

Obviously they have way too many new copies, so best way to get rid of them is lowering the price for new copies. Lowering the used price accordingly wont help

NFL 2k3 is a special exception though, cause it went bargain bin like 3 months after it was released, and they STILL can't get rid of it. It takes a special kind of bomba to achieve that. SEga should actually be proud. I wonder if Urlacher gets tired of seeing his face in gaming/electronic stores though.

EBGames should just charge the next Madden for $52.99 but include a free copy of NFL2K3. :lol:lol:lol

:lol or just start packaging copies of it with anything they sell :lol

For $2.99 a pop, I'm thinking of buying 100,000 of them and building a house. I'll call it "House of Bomb". What a steal!

correct me if im wrong, but the overproduction was actually a great move by sega. they unloaded a million or whatever copies onto ebgames, gamestop, etc. they must have made a shitload of cash.

And make all of the chains so pissed that they didn't promote or even stock a ton of Sega's later games.

In the short run. It's also why the Sega Sports brand became ESPN Videogames and was sold to Take-Two two years later.
