EGM Rumors

they said sega's planning to port their dreamcast games to xbla on attack of the show the other day but since we know they are only as reliable as egm, nothing is concrete.

If the Xbox game download is true (I doubt it), apart from being awesome, MS would need to release a new HDD and it would give them incentive to make...working BC.

PSU on the 360 seems cool, but I refuse to pay ~$13 a month to play it.

Also, since everyone here is mentioning a larger hdd, does anyone have any ideas on how we would be able to transfer the saves from our current hdd to a larger one? Or are we probably gonna be SOL?

-Roughly 250 hours---that's how much time The Q has logged on all the different versions of Phantasy Star Online. So yeah, you could say that I'm a tad bit excited for this summer's full-fledged sequel, Phantasy Star Universe. And now it seems that PS2 owners won't be the only ones losing their social life to this off-and-online role-playing game, as PSU will also arrive on the Xbox 360. Oh, one more thing: If you start playing the game on Sony's console, you will be able to transfer your online character----thanks to all stats and items being saved on Sega's servers----to the Xbox 360 version (which will hit a few months after the PS2 installment).

Well, one of my only reasons to keep my PS2 has just been decided for me, if Q-man is correct on this. Let's see FFXII show up (oh, whatever, it will suck anyway) and we'll be set. 250 hours? That means in about a year, when it hits $20 and I've put 200+ hours into Oblivion, I'll be able to keep myself from being RPG-less and bored. Thanks, Sega. Now where the fuck is Panzer Dragoon Saga 2?

Well, you can buy the bigger 1 gigabyte memory card for $150.
Then transfer a couple saves to the memory card,
Then buy the bigger hardrive for $200 and connect it and the bigger memory card and transfer it over.

I though Live was like 50 bucks a year?

Sega charges on top of live like FFXI,
Assuming the rumor is true, you should not need Xbox Live Gold to play PSU, but you will need to pay monthly regardless of what version you get.

Sega charges $13 a month to play the Phantasy Star games online.

I don't mind though, as long as they give me that free first month like they usually do. If its anything like PSO or FFXI, i'll have had my fill of the online portion after about a month or two.

Damn, I was curious about this game but I don't know if i could dish out 13 bucks a month. It's hard enough to watch my roomate do it for WoW. I'd probably want to play it on the 360 (if i get one) over the PS2 though, I have yet to take it online.

thier is naver going to be a Panzer Dragoon Saga 2. Panzer Dragoon Saga on the Saturn flopped in Japan and Panzer Dragoon Orta also flopped on the X box.
And I for one don't believe the EGM rumors about downloading x box game on the 360. They can’t even get the BC right.
AS for all you people acting like Phantasy Star Universe is going to be on the 360 you better wait and see. Remember these are rumors folks.

I know. I'm just dreaming about both PSU and Panzer Dragoon. With the way they're handling the Shining Force series (would it be so hard to do another SRPG? It's not like they haven't been marginally successful lately) and for the most part, Sonic, I've lost hope with them.

Nice! As much as I loved the atmosphere of Condemned I couldn't help but feel that FEAR was the better game. I look forward to trying out the port.

I wouldn't actually be interested in buying the games since I have every Xbox game worth owning anyway (apart from Psychonauts, tomorrow my sweet!). Hopefully downloadable Xbox 1 games would mean bigger HDDs and much better emulation for BC.

PSU on 360 would be great too. Voice chat ftw. I'll probably still get the PS2 version if there is a big gap between the release dates on the two systems.

i had better things to do with my life :lol

Yeah I've heard from numerous usually well informed source that PSU was coming to Xbox 360, and would be a mostly straight port of the PC version. Hopefully it will at least have higher resolution textures than the PS2 version.
Still, great news for me. Can't wait to play this :)

WTF?

Well, it appears you'll be able to purchase full Xbox 1 games through Micorsoft's Xbox Live Marketplace in the near future.

Are they serious? On that small HDD? Ninja Gaiden took up like 4-5 GB at least. Not to mention this sounds ridiculous. I bet they're not even going to bother updating the backwards compatibility list.

Great news for 360 fans. While my PC runs it very well, I'd probably like to give it a go on the 360 as well if they manage to throw in some bonus content.
