It's hard to see in the pic, but the buds on the headphones are transparent blue, too. Very nice!

No time to play right now, but man do I want to take this for a spin. Hopefully I'll have some time later tonight after work...

:( The boxart rules so much, too bad it won't be as cool in the US.
Have fun with it! the game really caught my attention in nintendo's GDC key note, I hope it's good :)
 
Oh, wow. I am really interested in this game, to the point I was seriously considering importing it, and I don't even own a DS. That cool package may send me over the edge.

Hrmm, if I'm not mistaken, aren't those also the same headphones you get with "Daigasso! Band Brothers"? They sure look like it...

It's not out yet, no. I got an early copy.

Heading out for a meeting now -- I'll try to get some playtime in on the train (heh), but no promises. :)
 
I love crazy interactive non-game type things (if they are good) especially if they involve music. This is a guaranteed purchase for me.
 
If there's enough depth to the things you can do in the "game" I might order it and a DS very soon. Hopefully it doesn't end up in the "kinda cool but ran out of stuff to do after 15 minutes" category.

I don't see any impressions (unless you mean people's opinions of the boxart).

I reckon this title won't appeal to average GAF user. The GDC demo really made it look like a digital toy.
 
Sucks that PSP has made poor and i've got taxes due, or else i'd have this. i'm hoping there's some way to save compilations and possibly upload them for others to play. This would be the perfect software for use with a light (not solar) sensor to interact with the music. i'm eagerly awaiting impressions on this.
 
The packaging looks fantastic! I'm thinking about importing it, as I doubt that it'll be released outside of Japan judging from Reggie's comments:

We also showed a very unique "game" called Electroplankton that also took the group by storm. I'm not sure that Electroplankton will make it to this country as a game, but I can envision a touch screen-and-voice-driven hip-hop or rap music game that utilizes all that same technology and pushes Nintendo DS out there and really drives it in the forefront, in terms of what the technology is capable of doing.

Ugh. Yeah, that's what we need: A hip-hop clone of the game...

Anyway, there's a good little write up on the game over at openedsource from about a month ago.
 
Shop sold out so I'll get my copy tomorrow.
I really hope Nintendo allows other companies to do this with sleeve art in the future. That DS bar down the side has got to go. It ruins any artwork totally.

How are the Daigasso! headphones? Worth using?
 
My copy should be here next week. :(

In the meantime.... I'll just have to make music on my knick-knack-patty-whack.
 
Cool! Hopefully Play-Asia has shipped my copy along with Kirby already.

EDIT: They couldn't bother to include a headset port to GBA sp and now they are giving headphones away with every other game?? Talk about a 180?!
