LiveWire said:*shrug* Who knows, at this point I'm thinking we're destined for the basement of the NFC East as now rumors are Portis is going to be traded and a lot of other players want out.
The Ravens have named Rex Ryan defensive coordinator and assistant head coach. Ravens head coach John Harbaugh will make the announcement during a news conference this afternoon at the team's training facility.
According to a high-ranking team official, Ryan signed a three-year contract worth $1.3 million to $1.5 million a season.

Hey man you were pretty dissatisfied with the "moral victory" talk coming out of his mouth this season. Don't act so surprised!Rorschach said:Reading up on all this Kiffin/Davis stuff is making me ill...especially the few parts where I agree with Davis.![]()

I was moping around yesterday and the wife called me out on football withdrawal. I refused to admit to it. =(
LiveWire said:Yea, it's a Jersey thing, after all, they play in the Meadowlands. Team Jersey/A and Team Jersey/B! :lol
In other news, Moochball coming to DC?

JLC Blog said:Certainly looks like Larry Brooks is a strong candidate to be defensive line coach. He interviewed today. Saw him at Redskins Park. Brooks was Greg Blache's defensive line coach in Chicago and they also worked together in Green Bay. (He's part of the Mariucci family, also, for what that's worth).
"That's Blache's right-hand man," one NFL source said. "There's a lot of trust there. If he's in there today, then I'm telling you that's Blache's guy."
Brooks, 57, is already versed in the technique and terminology that Blache teaches - Blache was formerly Washington's D Line coach before his promotion to head of the defense on Saturday - and they have a long history together. Brooks spend 2006 with Arizona and has worked for Seattle, Chicago, Green Bay and Detroit as well. He was also a member of Steve Mariucci's staff with the Lions for his two seasons there - for those of you playing the connect-the-dots game at home - and worked under Mariucci's mentor - Mike Holmgren - for nine seasons in all. Mariucci and Brooks coached together for two years in Green Bay. (West Coast in the house).

sableholic said:I'd imagine they'll be pretty busy, but what about Five Guys? Best burgers in DC/VA area. Wish they had one up here in this part of NY.
LiveWire said:Yea, and don't forget all that talk between Gibbs and Holmgren about retiring. Whatever happens, it's really eyebrow-raising how little Gregg Williams was liked. Saunders I wasn't suprised about. But I thought Gibbs liked Williams. I guess not! :lol
Anyway, I'd be psyched for Mariucci. At least he'd give good postgame interviews that would one day show up in a Coors Light commercial.
LiveWire said:Yea, they're OK. I've had them since before they got huge. Now they're expanding up and down the East Coast. They've got a few locations in Philly now, NY can't be too far off. They're good every once in a while, but they're a bit overrated if you ask me. I could be biased towards the greatest burger known to man (In N Out), however.
LiveWire said:So I finalized my themed dinner menu for my annual Super Bowl party. Although my team was bounced early and I'm between a rock and a hard place (rooting for a division rival vs. rooting for a team of cheating evil bastards), at least my guests and I will eat well!
New York
Manhattan (Red) Clam Chowder
Brooklyn Style Pizza
White Castle Burgers (sadly I live in Virginia, so I will have to choose the frozen supermarket version and not the real thing)
New York Cheesecake
Brooklyn Lager
New England
New England (White) Clam Chowder
Shepherd's Pie
Deep-Fried Fish Sticks (I was gifted a deep-fryer for Christmas)
Boston Cream Pie

That's not even it. Kiffin's staff and player decisions are the ones that boggle the mind and actually make me agree with Davis. :\Karakand said:Hey man you were pretty dissatisfied with the "moral victory" talk coming out of his mouth this season. Don't act so surprised!
