F. Gary Gray's sequel to Get Shorty, based on the series of novels by Elmore Leonard. Due out March of 2005. Should be a fun movie at the very least.

Lots of cool actors but... will it suck like Get Shorty? I really didn't find that one funny or engaging. I'll probably give this a shot eventually though, if only for the cast. If it gets great reviews I might check it out in theaters.

I've grown to hate movies like this (and Oceans 11, and that one Tim Allen comedy, and other Leonard movies for that matter) where they jampack a bunch of bigname actors into one movie and force them to look really cool and funny. The comedy is usually MIA, the actors end up playing themselves, and there isn't much in the way of chemistry between the characters. But people lap it up anyway cause their favorite actor's starring in yet another movie. Bleh.

EDIT: Exception to this rule would be Snatch, that truly was a cool and funny movie.

Get Shorty was a good movie tho. Dennis Farina and Gene Hackman made the movie awesome. Too bad it looks like neither one of 'em will be in this upcoming sequel. And yes, I agree Big Trouble (the Tim Allen movie) sucked.

I liked Get Shorty. I think my favorite part was when Travolta grabs the James Gandolfini character by the balls and throws him down the stairs. The look on Gandolfini's face afterwards is fucking priceless.

Get Shorty was fucking hilarious. The humor wasn't so much in the lines but in the perfect delivery by the cast.
