I kinda did after they remade the first 2.New entry in the Famicom Detective Club series? Didn't have that on my bingo card.
I have yet to pick the remakes since I'm hoping for a physical release with English language support.I kinda did after they remade the first 2.
Easy day 1 for me. Sometimes I had to check a guide, but the games were enjoyable. I'm looking forward to a modernized entry.
Yep, same.Be nice if this got a physical release...I never bought the remakes because only Japan got a physical version
I'm sure you'll be into it. Has solid anime artwork with that Nintendo polish. But yeah, they are literally NES games so sometimes it was a little cryptic, hence the guide.I have yet to pick the remakes since I'm hoping for a physical release with English language support.
Yep, same.
Oh geez, I didn't know they were censored outside Japan...tired of that shit. Still haven't played Tokyo Mirage Sessions because of the terrible censorship in that.Skipped the remakes since they were censored but I'm hopeful for this. I just sincerely hope he doesn't right write another turd of an ending like Dread.
That dumb rumor almost got me as well, lol.I'm more excited about this knowing it's not a Bloober project
If it's like the previous games, yes. Visual novel where you pick where to go from menus, and interview people for clues.so it's a visual novel?
I made the mistake of importing a beautiful collector's edition, but it doesn't support English.Be nice if this got a physical release...I never bought the remakes because only Japan got a physical version

the censorship is a nothing from what i can see.Oh geez, I didn't know they were censored outside Japan...tired of that shit. Still haven't played Tokyo Mirage Sessions because of the terrible censorship in that.
Remember when people were saying it's a Bloober game and losing their minds over it?
Pretty much unless this new one wildly deviates it's basically a load of reading with some light environment exploration like Phoenix Wright. They are good games but only for people with an attention span as you really need to pay attention to put the pieces together.Aren't these just visual novels?
Yeah, no interest in this but it's cool a platform holder is still greenlighting shit like this. Meanwhile Xbox won't stop shutting down studios and laying people off, and PS is uninterested in anything that's not AAA or live service.Feels like they're giving an old-timer dev a passion project to work on. Noice.
I think he has a greenlight to just do anything he wants, but has never had his own set team or division. He's made some of the strangest games ever, including Tomodachi Collection, Miitomo, Rhythm Heaven. Does a ton of producing / directing of off-site teams not at Nintendo, like Tecmo and Mercury Steam. This thing could be fun but gamers no doubt will flip out because its no AAA horror game or Eternal Darkness sequel lol, to be honest if Nintendo was to show a project like that it would have been in a proper Direct such as last month, not a random, cryptic Youtube clip.
This project seems like something Sakamoto wanted to do while working on the Detective famicom games, and since visual novels on Switch are successful he got the chance to do so i hope it does well for him
The game will receive a US/EU physical release Emio – The Smiling Man: Famicom Detective ClubBe nice if this got a physical release...I never bought the remakes because only Japan got a physical version
AckchyuallyThe generic modern anime look is the only thing that turns me off
Looks super cool. Playing these titles on a Swicth OLED is delicious. Paranormasight was one of my favourite recent experiences.
The remakes were developed by MAGES, and it's probably the same case here.Feels like they're giving an old-timer dev a passion project to work on. Noice.
Quite ironic to say in a year that they're constantly getting a lot of shit for not having AAA blockbusters.and PS is uninterested in anything that's not AAA or live service.
