While at GameStop, I walked by ESPN College Hoops on display. I wasn't able to give it a play, but I was wondering if anyone here has, and how is it?

More to the point, are the school songs featured? I know that on EA's NCAA Football, all of the school songs are present. I like to get that authenticity. It'd really be cool if they could put the school risers in there too. Such as, Minnesota's. (M-I-N-N-E-S-O-T-A! Minnesota! Minnesota! Heeeeeeeey Gophers!)

Forget the scores you've been reading in magazines, this is easily the best basketball game this year. It's not perfect but it plays so well out of the box it's amazing.

I find espn nba 2k5 to play superbly.
I'm not into college i'm sure the gameplay is just as good, but point out some differences.

espn nba 2k5 is dog shit compared to espn ncaa 2k5. i dont even like college basketball as much as pro, but the gameplay is so much better in ncaa its no contest. you lose espn nba


* Edit - differences:

- fouls are called on a regular basis in ESPN NCAA
- less cheap "steals"
- gameplay is smoother
- graphics are a bit nicer
- the game isn't as frantic and ridiculous as espn nba

Differences? Isomotion is a very small part. Loose ball fouls. Lead passes that actually work, meaning you can fast break. Excellent playbooks, including some great defensive plays. Double teaming that works and leads to bad passes. Good post game. A sports game that doesn't need significant slider tweaking. Year round recruiting. I'm probably forgetting alot of things but they are some of the most noticable and important.

-Outside game is still just as random as NBA,wide open shots are constantly missed while contested shots seem to have more of a chance to go in.

-Fouls are called waaaaaaaay too much,you cannot fuckin contest a downlow shot without it being a foul,no shit.

-Online,most people seem to just do fast breaks EVERY time and its really almost impossible to stop and if you do happen to get someone down there its a fuckin foul,so whats it matter?

That being said,the game IS better than NBA,but at the end of the day it's still an extremely mediocre game as far as Im concerned,I just see too much bullshit in every game I play.
