Bottomless pop refills are likely the same in US/Can. If it's a fountain pop you can get free refills in almost every fast food joint or restaurant. To cut down on costs, some fast food joints dont have self serve dispensers, so you got to ask for a refill. But most of them just have giant pop stations you do it yourself.
You need to get out more.
They're getting rid of them in the states too. All new locations have eliminated the self serve machines and they're phasing them out across old locations.
Plenty of cheap people who would buy a $1 drink and spend all day hanging out for the free refills, not to mention homeless people who bum drinks all the time.
I know folks who drink LITERS of soda a day. HUNDREDS of grams of sugar. It's crazy.
Travel in America is really expensive for Americans too post-Covid. Cheaper and more interesting to go abroad I think.
US is so different pending the city and region.

Clearly the thousands upon thousands of high school tv shows, movies and documentaries from the US are all in on the same joke. That makes the most sense.
It's a shame. Would love to visit it once more someday. But for that money, I'd rather go somewhere I've never visited before. Although each state is so very different from one another.
Social media has given some people pretty warped ideas about what other places are like. Then when you have something like this that brings people together we can see how we all have a lot in common and how fun it can be to explore what another place has to offer.

Seems like it, although i don't understand what part of Europe they're from to never seen ice machines or being impressed by cheerleaders. It's weird as fuck to be impressed by that. That said i would like to visit the US someday, mainly the east coast and the south stated because of the barbecues. New Orleans should be pretty interesting too.
Some of it, like the guy pretending he's never seen an ice machine before, is just people playing it up for engagement. But there's some fun, more organic stuff with people having a good time too.
