I'm talking about the television series... who the heck was the artist of all the episodes? I can't find the answer anywhere. The reason I'm curious is because I noticed the artwork in .hack (not sure which series - I've never seen the show), namely Black Rose, looks very similar in style to something from Evangelion/Nadia.

The reason I'm curious is because I noticed the artwork in .hack (not sure which series - I've never seen the show), namely Black Rose, looks very similar in style to something from Evangelion/Nadia.

The character designer is Yoshiyuki Sadamoto, he also draws the Eva manga. He's done Honneamise, Eva, Nadia, FLCL, DieBuster and .hack. Hes also working on something for either late this year or early next year, might be a movie, I don't remember.

Thx. I also notice the Gainax isn't credited for .hack - does he still work for Gainax or does he just do outside projects once in a while?

He's been with Gainax since the beginning and still works on Gainax projects, but the new project he's working on isn't by Gainax, I know that for sure. So he's hardly 100% exclusive to them.

I haven't read this thread yet but as it's Evangelion:
The original ending was better, Shinji is sooo gay, Asuka is hotter than Rei!!!
Original ending WAS better, shut the **** up!
